Story
The TARDIS is under attack. Alien plants have taken root in its corridors, strange flowering tendrils that threaten to rip the Doctor's ship apart. New companions Brandon and Alex venture into the heart of the TARDIS to discover the source of the infestation. Instead they find a secret door and a forgotten world. The Doctor has unfinished business with the Arborites, living trees with long memories.

Publisher's summary
Kerry Shale reads an exciting original story featuring the 12th Doctor, as played on TV by Peter Capaldi, in an adventure with the Weeping Angels.
All Alex Yow wants is to become a photojournalist and break her first story. All Brandon Yow wants is for his sister to keep out of trouble and come home. But that's not going to happen, because Alex has taken a picture of a statue. A statue that can move.
A statue that makes people disappear. A statue that is hunting them down.
In upstate New York, the Doctor is chasing weird energies that should not exist. Teaming up with Alex and Brandon, he discovers a powerful force enslaved to another's will. Who controls the lonely assassin that prowls the streets? What secrets are the residents of Rickman hiding? And will Alex and Brandon survive the night of the Weeping Angels?
Kerry Shale, who played Dr Renfrew in the TV story 'Day of the Moon', reads this action-packed original audiobook by George Mann and Cavan Scott, based on the hit BBC TV series. Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes approx.

Great story with a few odd issues
I really enjoyed this story and also The Lost Magic, but I wish these would have been labelled as being a multi-part story, as this is #1 and that one is #2 and I listened out of order. Also, I know these were done for British people, but it's jarring (as an American) to think of the American characters to see flashlights and think of them as torches (we think of torches as sticks with fire at the end) or to think of their sneakers as "trainers". I know the British words, but it jars me out of the story.

It's The Doctor!
The story felt like any episode on tv. It was engaging l, had mystery, and a plot twist! It felt so very Doctor Who though I'm not a fan of the audiobook narrator

Alright
This story was alright, but the more the Weeping Angels appears the less terrifying they are. The narrator’s accent was also a bit grating and distracting from the story.
