This book is kind of strange but sort of makes sense.Like with the selfishness cure.

Best story ever

I liked the voices of the children it was amazing and the cures was so unique I loved that. it is my kids favorite story it’s calming and just pure talent to the reader and the author.

Whimsical and Funny

Childhood is filled with naughty behaviors and bad habits. This brilliant book showcases but a handful, but in a clever twist, it gives humorous answers to common childhood phases.

The cures to these bad habits are brilliant, and usually very simple. And beloved figure Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle is at the heart of them all. Children need a person like her, who loves all children and remembers what it was like to be young.

Betty MacDonald has certainly created a lovely woman who understands children, and I can’t wait to read more of her cures! If you are a child, or a child at heart, this book will spark laughter, while also provoking a bit of thought.

Good for younger children

My four-year-old loves this book, so don't be afraid to try it for the 4-8 set. One warning: written in the 1940s, so spanking is mentioned if you're uber-sensitive about that.

Classic funny stories

I read these as a child and loved them, and now my 6 year old son loves them too. The narrator is nice and clear with a good voice for the young set, if a bit cloying to me. At first I was a bit apprehensive because the discipline is certainly old fashioned and there is a mention of spanking and the natural consequences (brought to their outrageous logical conclusions) Mrs. Piggle Wiggle uses can seem harsh to modern adult sensibilities, but my son thought the stories were hilarious, especially the Radish Cure, where a child who resists bathing is made to grow radishes in the dirt on her arms. My son has listened to the book three times already!

it has about 20min per cure and is a family friendly book with a great performance and has some good advice advice about parenting.

Wonderful book!

This is a great book for families to enjoy together! Lots of wisdom and great laughs. Narrator did a great job!

Perfect for long commutes

My 6 year old daughter just LOVED listening to 'Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle' on our drive too and from school this last week. My only regret is that I spent our credits on other books instead of just getting the entire series. This audio book has "created pictures in my mind", as my daughter would say. She loves talking about 'Polly Parrot' and the other life lessons that are presented in the books. I'm hoping listening to books will foster a life long love of reading. ... Now on to the Ramona series!
