So damn good...

great fantasy and new story... the magic capability is a little vague, abs power level is open to interpretation pretty often... but especially the choice acting is fantastic

Post Apocalyptic, Isekai, Tower Climber LitRPG

This book ambitiously combines a lot of sub-genres of LitRPG very well. The post apocalyptic beginning was a good introduction to Dren and Vox. Things really picked up when they isekai’d to a world with original game mechanics that almost feel like cultivation levels. The characters are really cool and have some unique characteristics that they gained from their own world. It is more tree climber than tower climber but still fun. The story was compelling and the world building immersive. Kramer was the perfect narrator for this book. Bravo.

Love this RPG story

I can’t not wait for Book 2.
This is a great take on a RPG story. I love all the characters. and of course having Kramer reading takes the story even higher.

Reminiscent but fun

The Voice actor is soooo fun!! Sky Thief is a delightful read that captivated me from start to finish. Its charm is reminiscent of some of the LitRPGs, blending whimsy with an engaging storyline. Highly recommended for those seeking a fun and memorable adventure.

Feel free to adjust as needed!

Great start to a promising series!

Just finished Skythief! Fantastic! Wonderfully crafted world and strong characters! I love Alice so much! She gives me Angela from the inheritance cycle vibes for sure. Great ending, leaving me feeling as though I have finished a full story, and still excited to see what happens next. For fans of the Cradle series, Defiance of the fall, the Divine Apostasy series… you see where I’m going with this. Pick it up, you won’t be disappointed.

AWESOME. TOTALLY AWESOME.

Fantastic!! The characters are all so quippy and clever!! I have enjoyed all of the Ronin Saga novels, so this story felt extra fun in how it uses the same magical elements premise. Great LitRPG adventure start.

The performance of the narrator enhanced the unique personalities of all the characters and was tremendously enjoyable.

When is the next one coming out? I want pancakes!

I have never expected such gem from this....

It was one of the most enjoyable books in weeks I was able to get and be entertained by.

I personally think there is no book you are entirely 100% positive about so I've found 2 things that throw me off course too. But it's nothing in comparison to the joy it gave me.
I loved almost every character, I was pleased with the slow depth that was starting to uncover for each character (though there is still enough mystery for continuation). There is also .. kind of cliffhanger.. which drove me crazy but there is nothing I can do, the humor - I'd say it's not "higly sophisticated" - but I swear I was crying from laughter often. There is a lot of this funny sarcasm and "not really funny" jokes that still craked me up so much it's crazy - but still all this did not ruin the seriousness of more important moments.
(there is a character like ... a little bit more dark and emotional Dross absolutely amazingly done by the narrator - plus MC who for me has some slight "Eithan" vibes. I remember the description to this book convinced me at "the MC is charming" - oh hell he is 😜)
No swearing... which is great, (ok, there is a lot "what the hell" and other replacements - and honestly - I liked it that way very much. Pretty similar to The Cradle. - although "heavenly decremation" just killed me....).
The plot seem very "standard" but like always, the detalis make the difference and I'll admit I respect author who can take the "typical outline" and create such an interesting and entertaining characters and story.
I loved the bloopers and "credits". A sweet cookie after a nice dinner. Oh I meant... PANCAKES! In chaos syrup!

As for those 2 little things that I noticed were just a little bit OFF...
1. Final battle. It was not yet your typical fighiting like in other litrpgs - but that was ok. What was not ok though... the "villain" was shown as having some smart in him before he encountered our MC's... and it's like during the fight he decided to switch his brain off. It was not that bad overall... but still I was a little bit thrown off with this.
2. Few times the already known fact/situation/explanation was unnecesarily repeated by characters (like they totally forgot about what they were taking about few moments earlier and are still ignorant). Or maybe I just misinterpreted some things...

Anyway. There is no book without flaws and those did not ruin the greatness of this book.

Side note: Preferences are relative. So you may not find it to your liking... but I do recommend this book.. to give it a shot.

Surprisingly Good

I had never heard of the author before, but Michael Kramer is a favorite voice actor of mine, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Turns out this book was actually much much better than I expected. The way the series unfolds similar in some Dungeon/Video games with leveling and skilling is a nice touch to a traditional story of this genre.

Look forward to the next book!
