A delicious adventure

Felt like a nice little vacation. Always love anything that has to do with discovering good food.

Heart & Dreams

Started a bit slow for me, but I love a story with Paris as a background. The movement flowed as soon as the dress entered.

Exquisite

This is only the second book bu Ruth Reichl I have listened to — this was so incredible I listened to it all in one day and am heart broken it is over.

Magical, but read the actual book do not listen

This story is magical as all Ruth Reichl books are. But the woman reading it is not magical. I doubt she knows anything about Paris. Her voices are horrible and completely take away from the story. Do yourself a favor and buy the book, and sit down and read it.

Good story about art and food

Likeable characters, not super predictable, but I was annoyed because not everything said in French was translated and while I got the gist of it, I felt like I was missing out.

Love a story with a happy ending…

..but the narrator tested my patience! Her breathy reading gave everything an air of suspense and suspicion when there was none. Well, perhaps the first couple of circumstances of the principal character’s life.
Still, I’m glad I stayed with the book. Satisfied with the ending.

Paris, Food, Art & Fashion! What could be better?

I loved this book as much as I loved Delicious! by the same author. The way she winds food into her writing is pure art. I was not very fond of Stella at first and was not sure that she would make an interesting heroine, but she won me over. It was a beautiful story.

Amazing story, great narration

Not tracking with the reviews that are negative about the narrator. This book was excellent and I loved the narrator.

Love the sensuous description of Paris, fashion & good! Well written and well read!

I am a big Ruth fan!

Loved the story. Hope there is a sequel soon. I would definitely enjoy that next year.
