He does the voices

Greg has a way of making the voices easily distinguishable from each other. I can tell who's talking by the way he changes his tone and inflection. He’s my favorite reader. And when he pairs up with my favorite author I know I’m in for an enjoyable time. This book didn’t disappoint. Bastion and Andras were a totally believable couple, one I was definitely rooting for. I can’t wait to listen to the next book!

Funny, fast paced, exciting

Alice Winters always delivers!! This book is so entertaining, perfect for when you're having a bad day and just needs a book to pick you up. The world of Casters and Shades is interesting. I can't wait to read book 2.

Formulaic but fun

If, like me, you are a huge fan of Alice you will notice that her formula is pretty set. And here is yet another example of crazy character meets sensible character trope. That said her audio books never fail to amuse (huge props to Greg here). Her quirky, reckless, but loveable characters are interesting and just different enough to keep her fans listening.
Can't wait for book 2.

I love it the quirky with the light and dark it's an awesome new series and it's just an amazing hit in my book along with all your other characters

Great characters

Really fell for the characters and now I am completely invested in there story. Cant wait to get the second book!

SUPER ENJOYABLE!!

The characters and their personality are very well developed. Some parts that will keep you on the edge of your seat and also some parts that will have you chuckling to yourself this book was really good I am definitely going for a book two.

Very negative

I get the light and dark of this story. But it just seemed so negative to me. Andras was a hard character to like. I even thought he was mean. But Bastian was drawn to him. I live this author but this book was not a great one for me.

Classic Alice Winters. Fun characters and interesting story. I want to re-listen to the book when it ended.

Sssssoren stole the story

this book got funnier and funnier. Andras is a crazy funny character and so beyond dense. action and situation scenes were great. good slow burn if that is your jam.

Wow! Crazy great!

I’m absolutely stunned by how amazing this book was! So so creative with fantastic world building and in depth characters. There’s just too much to mention other than I freaking loved it and am off to purchase book two.
