Hard to follow

I have really been liking other books by this author, but for some reason I had a hard time keeping the story and characters straight in this particular book. It seemed a little bit convoluted. I still enjoyed it but was not able to get into the story as much.

HOLY PLOT TWIST!

Kevin O'Brien has a unique and interesting way of psychologically terrorizing listeners and his characters. His writing may be too long for some, but to get the plot and backstory into play, it is necessary. He is my new favorite author! I've listened to this book in one day - it was that good!

Another great story!

I started listening to these just because I live in Kittitas Co WA!! It's so fun to hear the names of so many places we're familiar with. Could you throw my little hometown of Thorp in one maybe? I'll be listening for sure. Love the twists and turns.

Sepentine, satisfying suspence with a heart

Another excellent, twisty, highly listenable effort from Kevin O'Brien. The fact that it was it's included in the plus catalog was a nice bonus.

Surprise ending

I really enjoyed this story because it had a plenty of characters and no clear motive for the murder that started it. Therefore I was always anxious to listen to the next chapter for more clues. The revelation at the end was a total surprise which I found very statisfing

This was a great story, i like most of his books though, after i listened to UNSPEAKABLE he can do no wrong.. the narrator is very talented as well

His books are worth using one of my credits. Keeps you interested throughout the whole book.

So many twists and turns! You have to pay attention, or continuously his 'back 30'. Enjoy!

This was Kevin O'Brien's best book to date. The book has two thriller plots going on simultaneously, each could have been a book in itself but together - WOW! When I first read the short description of this book I thought it sounded kind of contrived and wasn't sure this was going to work. Why in the world would a young woman working for a caterer play junior detective? This is a young single mother who moved to a new town, new job, people getting brutally murdered all around her - HELLO? Why would she stay? On top of that there is a looney who wants to pulverize her and take her young son in her home town looking for her. Next thing you know her face is on TV and still she stays. I kept thinking it can't work but to my surprise it did. Sorry I can't tell how or it would ruin the story so all I can say is GET THE BOOK! You won't regret it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
