Interesting but a little sensationalist

Probably the last third of the book is the most interesting detailing the trial and shenanigans there within.

makes u definitely wonder who ur neighbors are!

I enjoyed this book. the 1st chapter kept my interest the most. it seemed to get a little dry after that but definitely able to finish. I haven't heard of this case so was very shocked on how evil a human can b. actually how the evil of 1 person can spread to others n follow. narrator was easy to listen to but like I stated the writing would seem to lose my interest when going on n on about certain things.( just didn't want to spoil any of the story for ya😉)

TC fascinating story telling.

Narrative is on point with this one! So sad this young woman had to experience such trauma.

“Cries” Delivers

“Cries in the Desert” document Ed nets the story of sexual sadist and serial killer David Parker Ray. It is well written and well performed. I listened to the whole book in one day because I found it fascinating.

Listened to this book twice in 3 days. A real page turner! Very well done. 5 out of 5 Highly recommend!

Very graphic, was a good listen

This was hard to listen to, listening to his welcome tape to his victims scared me to death, I can't even think what their thoughts were. The author gives you the facts and all the details that will put a chill down your back. I thought at times it was a little long wind but it was a good listen.

The narrator did a good job, he does pause a little longer than I like and I didn't care for his few character voices. There are no repeating of words, no volume changes, no background noise. All in all it was a good listen that put the fear of God into me.

Excellent book!!

This book did an excellent job of focusing on the bizarre and chilling details of the story and how it affected people involved. I was hooked on listening to it!! I recommend.

Mind Blowing. Not for the easily offended or sensitive.

This book is amazing. True Crime Junkies all over the world will appreciate this book and all its complexity.
HOWEVER….heed this warning!
It is GRAPHIC. It’s is DETAILED. It’s is DISTURBING. And it is thorough! It goes ALL the way back on all people involved. Personal lives, everything. You’ll walk away mentally flabbergasted by what that man did to those women. And how his DAUGHTER helped! Mind Blowing! But it’s not for anyone who is sensitive or easily offended by grotesque descriptions of sexual assault, abuse, and torture. And THEY TELL IT ALL! Very very detailed. You’ve been warned.

Monologue was the only problem

The story in its self was captivating and researched well, my only complaint is the way it was read.
