Max Barry is in fine form on this one. As usual it grabs your collar and doesn't let go until you're through the fun house mirror and into Barry's wonderfully dark and comic brain. The perfect audiobook for a really lousy day. It'll pick you right up.

Super entertaining and fun
I started listening to this on a whim without even reading the description and I was pleasantly surprised to find how entertaining it is. Heavy satire, in fact the social commentary is a little much at times, but I really liked the narrator’s unique perspective. And the guy who reads it is straight up amazing, really really good!!

Gangster Aliens; You just can't trust them!
I really liked it. The characters were engaging & memorable. Narration was great! Damn good plot, although I didn't figure out what was going on until about chapter 8; or 10. But still, it was funny & frivolous & that can be a good thing.

Great sci-fi invasion book
This is a phenomenal sci-fi fantasy futuristic book that takes place in northern America primarily,
The narrator did a great job with both delivery and presents throughout this books entirety… I also appreciate it the slight sound effects throughout the text

cant beat for free
Not great, but not bad. The story seemed a bit rough at the start.. about midway it picks up the pace. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Awesome!
Surprisingly, equal parts feel good, hilarious, and endearing all simultaneously. Heavy Hitchhikers Guide vibes but this story kept surprising me with how clever it was and how much awesome dialogue and ideas the author was able to explore based off of the premise alone. When I finished this listen I stood up and had a smile on my face for at least 20 minutes lol worth your time for sure! Although for me it did start a tiny bit slow. As Diego would say though, “Okay…” lol

strange Story
Is there group of people this book doesn't offend?? I think not. See for yourself. The story is at least fresh. Narration oddly paced but seems to kind of fit this Weird story.
