A killer so savage (and so sly) that the brutal frenzy of his crimes makes an unassailable insanity defense - such is the opponent facing Tony Fraser, a young district attorney willing to risk anything, everything, for a sentence of death. Presumed Innocent brings to life our worst nightmare: that of an ordinary citizen facing conviction for the most terrible of all crimes. It's the stunning portrayal of one man's all-too-human, all-consuming fatal attraction for a passionate woman who is not his wife, and the story of how his obsession puts everything he loves and values on trial - including his own life. It's an audiobook that lays bare a shocking world of betrayal and murder, as well as the hidden depths of the human heart. It will hold you and haunt you...long after you have reached its shattering conclusion.

Story
It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

Story
Buckhead isn’t a place you live, it’s a place you survive. And that applies even to the wealthy housewives that have it all. Fancy cars, designer clothes, and daily salon appointments aren’t nearly enough to keep them fulfilled and happy. Because in this town, privilege and opulence go hand in hand with betrayal and revenge. Jenny, the owner of Glow, an exclusive membership-only beauty salon, knows that better than anyone, because she knows everything about these housewives—down to each individual strand of hair.

What if Jesus were a bro?
This is a really fun character development and exploration of moral concepts and personal goals and priorities. I enjoyed the vivid imagery of this story the most. The author is descriptive of characters, environment and events in a way which made for an immersive and visual listening experience. It is also entertaining to have the metaphysical in this story made so literally physical. There is a subplot related to sexuality and romance that I haven’t made sense of, but I’m still thinking it through. Any novel that doesn’t immediately disappear into the rear view after I’m finished with it is special in its own way.
