In 2009 Malala Yousafzai began writing a blog on BBC Urdu about life in the Swat Valley as the Taliban gained control, at times banning girls from attending school. Her voice is youthful, lilting, and buoyant, invoking the key qualities of the now well-known young woman who, at the age of 15, was shot three times in the face by the Taliban because she actively advocated education for girls. Panjabi narrates with vigor; rapid sentences and warm tones evoke Malala's persona. The listener has the feeling of being told this story by Malala herself rather than by an actor, which is the best type of audiobook. Beautifully inspiring

Loved it all; the storyline, the narrator... Everything! Malala's life and the people and traditions of her culture are very well described from her point of view, which is innocent as well as wise.

Malala The Great

This Book was Amazing and it should be listened to by all boys and girls, honestly.

Strong and important.

A great and I portent book well read and though no way feelgood still sprinkled with humor. About a people not acting before it's too late.

Years late to reading this, but better late than never.

Truly inspirational. A clear backdrop of the physical, political, and religious environment brings a distant (to me) place and circumstance into my heart. I am grateful for her life and words.

It is an emotional story that is easy to understand and connect to, especially if you have experienced political unjustice at some point.

I would recommend this book to everyone!
It educates on such topics as Islam, Pakistan and human rights, and shows how important the education is. Not only on the individual level, but on the level of society as well. By being a girl and going to school, Malala put her life at risk which is surprising if you don't know much about such issues.
"I am Malala" changed the way I think: how important education is? How to fight inequality in the world? Can one little girl from Pakistan help to children all around the world?

To understand why is Malala one of the greatest education activist is important to read this book.
