In this awe-inspiring lecture, Dr. Hawkins reveals that peace can't really be accomplished in the world, that it is an inner state. Peace and freedom are what you are and when you let go of trying to control things and give God advice, it puts you into a space where it's irrelevant. Dr. Hawkins explains that the intellect is really our problem, as it is very fast and takes credit for what happens and presumes to be the causal effect. If we can get beyond thinking in terms of a "this" causing a "that", then you don't need to make up a false explanation of why things happen.

Beneath the Thought
The most useful insight in this lecture series for me was - in my sense of it:
The infinite, me, the everything, god, is just *beneath* the thought.
And I have experienced silence and timelessness since I understood and can feel that it is beneath the thought. Now it's becoming a home that I'm loving.
*I loves this series. I've put it on repeat probably 10 times because parts integrate while other parts are landing or hovering.
**The other most useful insight was how to pray:
make a *statement*, then release it to god
-->example: I don't know what to do about the soreness in my back

Not to Doc’s Standards
Dean
Dr. Hawkins books have changed my life and I’m a huge fan. But since he passed, many of his live talks have been compiled into audiobooks that do not live up to to the standard he set in his writing. This one is poor. I gave it three stars out of respect for Doc... it’s not even that good. The audio is terrible and there’s really nothing here that you wouldn’t get reading his REAL books.
