A new vision
This book was recommended to me by my mentor. I’m glad I took the time to read and listen to it. This is the beginning of a be journey I will embark on… The journey of stoicism. Many parts of the book were like a mirror… I certainly haven’t been practicing Arête. There are many of the principles I need to be mindful of and place in to practice everyday from now on, especially now that I am a parent. One of the rare books that have changed my life and given me a new vision for the rest of my life… I appreciate this book so much.

Good material, a little dorky delivery
The narration is decent until they go to read any quote from an ancient philosopher. All of the quotes are done in a really strange accent that comes off as just silly. it was so hard to take those sections seriously. It stinks because I would love to share this with others, but I can't bring myself to tell them about the audio book, just the hard copy.

This book kicks butt!!
I’ve read and listened to many books on Stoicism. Many by the most popular author on Stoicism. All of them are filled with great info. Stoicism is great at helping you through the tough times but also a model for how to live a good and honorable life.
I love that this book breaks Stoicism down into lots of bit sized lessons. Very helpful info.
Get this book if you really want to understand Stoicism. My opinion is that it’s “top notch” and one of if not the best books on Stoicism.

Love the content but please add table of contents to audio books
Great book overall - love the content but please add table of contents to the audio book so its quick to navigate instead of having to waste time to find written table of contents and then wasting time to locate a specific section in the audio book - the various practices are almost impossible to find because like 20 of them are under a single “chapter” - what i could do in 15 seconds, i have to waste like 100 times the amount of time..
who knows - maybe i should just accept it and deal with the hand i got with your “wonderful” lack of audible TOC :))) kidding :) pls add a visual TOC so ppl can navigate the book and find and be able to come back to those various practices.. :)
