New York Times best-selling author Tracy Anne Warren is among the world’s most popular Regency romance novelists. She sweeps listeners to the Irish countryside for this saucy tale of deception. Lady Jeannette is really annoying but in the end you grow to like her..maybe...a little bit...but i love Darragh...but its a good idea to listen to this one before listening to book 3

Great Follow up to first book

I enjoyed this second book as much as the first. Warren makes you feel for the “ spoiled” sister in a way you didn’t in the first. Please do give it a listen.

Ladies, Prepare to fall in love with and Earl!

Warning: You will not be able to put this book down. I found myself listening to it much too late into the night. I know some of the other reviewers were disappointed by this book, but I can honestly say I wasn't. If you started with book 1, you're going to be surprised to see that Lady Jeannette does, in fact, have a heart. I thought the author did a good job of explaining her behavior in the previous novel. But, the person you're really rooting for in this book is Darragh O’Brien. He has just the right mix of bad boy attitude and good guy behavior. I also like that this book doesn't end with the oft-employed "they got married and lived happily ever after" ending. Instead, she chose to show some of the problems they had after the marriage.

Like any good historical romance novel, Tracy Ann Warren's writing style brought you back in time without beating you over the head with mundane, useless descriptions of attire and buildings. Instead, she gives you just enough to be able to envision the world she describes. And Bianca Amato continues to do an excellent job as narrator.

Ended up liking Jeanette in the end, surprisingly

I really enjoyed the first book and had been looking forward to this one despite me dislike for Jeanette’s character. However, in the verrrrrry end I ended up changing my mind about her. Stick it out!

5 star story, 5 star narration, = Must read.

The narration of this story elevates the book to the top. voices. a cents all seem natural and fluid
no pauses, slowing voice for different characters. it as if you were hearing each character's voice also getting a perk of their character. a warm, inviting story weaving humor into a beautiful and funny love story. his it hot? Yes. Is it funny yes? fo you want to see a very highly bred 'lady's who thinks she is elevated above all common people learn to cook, sew, and live in a small rural cottage in Ireland. it's a long way from London's ballrooms and the town. a must read for everyone. I find myself smiling just remembering the humor in this book.
