Publisher's summary
If you have spent any of your time trying to 'find' happiness, this book is the treasure you have been looking for! It's as much about enjoying the journey as it is the end result. Your path to happiness will take work, although, each step is fairly simple.
This is a refreshing book filled with many anecdotal stories, research, tools, and activities to help you navigate happiness as a way of life rather than something that comes and goes, seemingly without your control. Dr. Gold uses proven techniques from leading experts, as well as the novel approaches she developed, to demonstrate and teach you how to generate joy and maintain it as a lifestyle that leads to sustained results.
In 7 Habits of Extremely Happy People you will learn how to...
- BE HAPPY NOW despite the challenges
- Live life as an adventure, not a rerun using Dr. Gold's mastermind techniques
- Biohack your life using Dr. Gold's BAC Method to live optimally doing what YOU want to do (not just what others want for you)

Systemic Shame is the socially engineered self-loathing that says we are solely to blame for our circumstances. It teaches that our consumption is moral and personal choice is our only tool of change. Systemic Shame tells us that poverty is remedied by hard-working people pulling themselves up by their bootstraps, that marginalized people are responsible for their own oppression, and that massive global crises like climate change can be solved by switching to paper straws. When we inevitably blame ourselves for failing to do enough to combat structural injustices, we feel Systemic Shame.

Story
It’s not just you. Stress levels are at an all-time high—so much so that a recently convened panel of medical experts in the US has recommended that all adults under the age of 65 be screened for anxiety. In How to Release Anxiety, Gabby Bernstein offers simple, actionable steps for feeling better, living with more ease, and showing up for those around us. Gabby’s unusual advice: Rather than manage your anxiety, what if you befriended it? Gabby posits that what we befriend, we can ultimately be at ease with. So she invites us to get curious.

Since birth, you were spoon-fed ideas, beliefs, and routines that program you into the same default path as everyone else. This leads to the same quality of life as everyone else. It’s no wonder why most people feel anxious, overwhelmed, and have a cloud of meaninglessness hovering over their heads at all times. Focus is the cure.

Story
Growing older is a blessing. But the slow decline and the loss of functionality associated with aging has led us to treat the process like a disease. These negative effects of aging, however, are not inevitable. Rather, they’re largely the result of environmental and lifestyle factors that, when properly addressed, can be reversed through a process called Autojuvenation™.

Story
Coexisting but conflicting needs create self-sabotaging behaviors. This is why we resist efforts to change, often until they feel completely futile. But by extracting crucial insight from our most damaging habits, building emotional intelligence by better understanding our brains and bodies, releasing past experiences at a cellular level, and learning to act as our highest potential future selves, we can step out of our own way and into our potential.
