The narration and heritage stories were great!

The investment in this book is well worth it. Each section is well-organized, breaking down complex concepts into manageable parts. Although there was a LOT of information covered, I did not feel overwhelmed. The exercises and examples provided were practical and helpful, making it easier to remember and practice what I learned. The narration is excellent, with a clear and friendly voice that makes learning enjoyable. The step-by-step instructions are easy to follow, and the pace is perfect for beginners. The narrator's pronunciation of Japanese words is precise, which helps a lot when trying to get the sounds right. I definitely suggest following along with the PDF for the practice exercises instead of simply listening to the book. The stories of Japanese heritage were wonderful and provided additional context about the nation's language and history.

Great introduction to learning Japanese

My daughter is taking a trip to Japan as her senior graduation gift, and I told her she needed to start familiarizing herself with the language. This book really has what you need to get started to feel more comfortable with learning the language. We broke up the book over several days, and we actually practiced together, which made it more fun. The narrator has an engaging voice and walks you through learning the language in a nice, guided way. We enjoyed this book and will continue to listen so that we can help teach each other as well as learn to have conversations together.

Japanese basic language for beginners is amazing!

This book was perfect. I am a beginner and plan to travel to Japan. The three-part concept of Reading, Writing, and Speaking made it easier to understand. The phases are broken down so you can understand how everything comes together. I am a former teacher and am so glad I have this book. I will use it as a resource in the future. This was a very big project, and the author did a wonderful job. I was planning on buying a few books, but this is all rolled into one. I highly recommend this book!

This book has so much information I don't now where to start. It is set up in an effective way to learn another language. The comprehensive lessons are designed to be simple and easy to understand - meaning the different sections from grammar rules, vocabulary, common phrases and sentences. The workbooks, short stories, vocabulary lists and I liked that at the end of each chapter it has a test your knowledge section. This book is totally designed to help you engage comfortably in conversation. The trivia part was fun as well. Great information, well written.
