THE LINE BETWEEN FRIEND AND FOE IS RAZOR-THIN...

When Peter Black is tasked with tracking down a mysterious terrorist collective known as The Wolf Pack he expects danger but nothing prepares him for the web of betrayal and deceit that awaits.

At the same time, investigative journalist Kara Tate stumbles upon a shadowy world when a video from a source leads her to a deadly conspiracy that intertwines with Peters mission.

From the tense confines of Syrian refugee camps to the bustling streets of New York, Peter uncovers a trail leading straight back to American soiland the hints of a cataclysmic event.

With time running out, allegiances blur, and personal sacrifices must be made. Bound by a shared enemy, Peter and Kara find themselves thrust into a relentless race, not only to thwart a large-scale attack but to protect those closest to their hearts.

As their two paths collide in an electrifying climax, they'll discover that the line between friend and foe is razor-thin. In a world where trust is a luxury, can they unmask the mastermind behind the Wolf Pack before it's too late? Dive into a heart-stopping thriller where danger lurks in every shadow and nothing is as it seems.

Language. The book was great entertainment otherwise.

The need for consultation with a thesaurus is palpable! Really guys, if you could polish the language and leave out some of the cliches, your books would be much better.😊

What could have been very good was destroyed.

The author of this installment of the Peter black series must have been high as hell. when he wrote it. I couldn't get through the entire book. his overuse of adjectives and over describing of every single line in the book. the only time there's even the slightest reprieve is when there's dialogue between two people and you think oh God he's finally ended that, but I would say more than half of this book could be just thrown in the trash and you put all the rest together and you understand it much better.
The author describes everything five different ways. you can't read a paragraph with without 20 or 30 adjectives in it. this distracts so much. I got well over halfway through it and couldn't follow the storyline. it's so distracting that there really is no storyline. you're constantly trying to skip through his over description in every sentence, just so you can understand what's going on. that's old saying you can't see the forest through the trees this book. does that to the reader or listener, in this case You can't follow the storyline because the author focuses more on describing and setting up every scene and then continually doing it through the scene as it unfolds. there is not a non-descriptive sentence in this book except during dialogue between two characters. I just couldn't finish it and I loved of Archer's books, he certainly did not write this one though, unless he completely changed his writing style. Even George RR Martin, who overdescribes most scenes to an extreme like this, knows that you can't do that in everything. he has some very heavy over-descriptive parts in his books, but not every sentence. every paragraph everything. Granted he does too much as well, but you can follow the story somewhat at least.

Worst in the series

I love the Peter Black series. Right up there with Orphan X and Victor The Assassin, but this book was pretty lame. One big part is very implausible but the big downfall is the book is very jumbled for some reason. Too many similar character names and then some of other names and secret names. It just wasn’t as enjoyable as all the previous games ones. Of course I will read the next one though.
