Publisher's summary

A killer cyborg endeavors to get a life . . . of sorts . . . in the second installment of this action-packed LitRPG spin-off of the Faceless Minion series.

Not long ago, NSLICE-00P—short for Non-Standard Leashed-Intelligence Cybernetic Enforcer—performed her job with cold, calculated, merciless obedience. When she was ordered to destroy something, it got seriously destroyed. Unfortunately, that led her to take out her own creator before he created her, casting the cyborg out of her reality and into a world of magic, levels, and skills, with her very own dungeon core and no one to tell her what to do.

As it turned out, fate put NSLICE-00P in the right place at the right time: she's become a legit heroine in this new existence. Not that glory matters to her; she has work to do. Like building her own personal army of cyborg creatures both animal and elemental. Because when she finds a new commander, she wants to be sure to show them her best side—which is pretty much the worst for anyone in her way.

But first NSLICE-00P will have to face off against those who want to know exactly where this cute-but-deadly armored knight came from, what she's really after, and how they might use her lethal gifts for their own sinister ends . . .

The second volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with more than two million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

It's great!

The story was great, the character were amazing, and the power system was interesting the only problem is that the status sheet can be slightly too at times. Oneof my new favorites, would highly suggest.

Good stuff!!!

Fun continuation to a little OP litrpg story. I’m really looking forward to her allies possibly realizing that it’s her “armor” that’s in charge!

Too many times we go over the details.

the author feels like going over her full stat list at least one to three times per book, which can take upwards of three hours total. while I'd like to say hitting the next chapter button is sufficient, unfortunately, it seemed to skip half of one of the first chapters which was behind the word vomit, for some reason.

other than that, great story, Zero is absolutely dumb and adorable murderbot, and the other characters are great, imo.

Love the narrator

This book series is pretty great with good pacing and characters. Just the right amount of development on powers without pure focus on it. Also battles and fights scenes are not too short or so long it takes forever for each battle or dungeon which is a serious problem with other progression books where one dungeon or fight can last for hours of reading.

Also for audible this narrator is great, while the series itself is good, this narrator makes an A product be a A++ product. From hour robotic zero voice can be to the exasperation in other characters, she makes it come alive.
Not to mention how amazing her High king of all the land voicing is. Makes it almost sound like a caring mother reading a story with great voices to her children. Like there is real caring for the story and characters and a love for the expressing them rather than just a job to voice them that some other narrators have. At least that's how it comes out to me.

I also like that stat sheets are their own chapters. I would say there could be less or abridged ones though mid book. 3 chapter of 50 mins of stats makes this 15 hour book more like 12.

A masterpiece of its genre

Stories can be interesting and have subplots, or they can be exciting and focus on main plots. This story seems to focus on creating a balance. The futility of the main characters goal makes it possible to focus more time on the subplots even while the subplots are constantly reinforcing the main plot. There are enough game like stats that a real enthusiast can appreciate the completeness, but the long drawn-out stats are contained in their own chapter so that you can skip the whole chapter easily if you're not a fan. "Zero" is adorably and concerningly cautious and hesitant to exert her freedom. Even so, her protocols turnout to be very helpful in making a good impression on others most of the time. In her evolution to a more emotional and independent thinker, I wish the best for her. She certainly has a new challenge reconciling her two methods of thinking. The manner of the conclusion suggests at least two more books coming. That would be great!

This is fun stuff

I very much enjoyed this book, it was a fun, fast-paced story with great characters and world building. I am excited to continue this series. Also, the narration was excellent. My only complaint is that the stat messages for the main character are excessively long, But that doesn’t actually affect the story and I can fast forward through those parts, so it’s still a five star for me.

So much said, so little progress.

For a book with so many words there sure wasn't a whole lot of progression. The character seems to be intentionally obtuse when it comes to her "processing" and her prime directive ignores so much of the last order she was given and the fluctuations in her probability but at this point that feels less like an understandable character trait and more like an author intentionally dragging out a story because they are paid by the chapter/word count on the site they originally published on.

A good chunk of this book's story didn't involve the MC. Instead of progress on her end it was about a 3rd party conflict. It was an enjoyable listen and I can see how it was probably meant to lay groundwork for later growth, but it sure didn't satisfy me as a reader of 00P's story.
