Publisher's summary

When an industrial spy steals a Xenomorph egg, former Colonial Marine Zula Hendricks must prevent an alien from killing everyone on an isolated colony planet.

Venture, a direct rival to the Weyland-Yutani corporation, will accept any risk to crush the competition. Thus, when a corporate spy "acquires" a bizarre, leathery egg from a hijacked vessel, she takes it directly to the Venture testing facility on Jericho 3.

Though unaware of the danger it poses, the scientists there recognize their prize's immeasurable value. Early tests reveal little, however, and they come to an inevitable conclusion. They need a human test subject....

Enter Zula Hendricks.

A member of the Jericho 3 security staff, Colonial Marines veteran Zula Hendricks has been tasked with training personnel to deal with anything the treacherous planet can throw their way. Yet nothing can prepare them for the horror that appears - a creature more hideous than any Zula has encountered before.

Unless stopped, it will kill every human being on the planet.

Another Exciting Adventure in the Alien Universe!

I have been a Alien franchise fan since I was 8 years old. And this is another fantastic adventure! And it features a fascinating twist with the Xenomorph which answers a question I have had for years! Don’t worry I won’t spoil it!

Good but cliché

Overall it was a solid story that just missed its mark.It seems like ithe author was trying too hard to make the alien a comic book super villain. The action sequences sounded more like something from a cartoon than an Alien novel. In the midst of combat characters had deep, profound thoughts with detailed rational that just seemed contrived. Add to that the cartoonish motivations of the human villains and the now stereotypical "evil corporation" trope, it sounded like it was written by an angsty millennial angry at capitalism and worshiping everything female.

There were other technical annoyances that showed the author didn't really understand combat or even firearms. But most of these are easily overlooked.

Fun Story That Kept Me Entertained!

I always enjoy a good Alien story and this was definitely an original take and showed yet again just how adaptable our favorite Xenomorphs are. I really liked that they weren't all trapped in on area, that the "Lodge" was there for medical, refuel/ resupply station, admin., and a recreation area for the proto - colony where the miners worked, although I wished there would have been a little more about the colony and mining operations, just to flesh out that part of the story. But again, I still enjoyed this original story.

I do wish they were able to have different readers for each character like some of the Alien books but I did enjoy the narration all the same.

Probably won't be everyone's cup of tea but I totally understand that as well! That's what I love about the Alien universe though - that there's a vast amount of different stories. There's always something for everyone!

Enjoy & Happy Holidays Everyone!

Nowhere near as bad as people have said it was.

There was some woke-ness to it. However, it was mild. I like that the story wasn't just another we are all gonna die alien story.

Science based, action packed and a new variant of Xenomorph

Great characters, cool new tech and a deeper look into how the xenomorphs reproduce as well as insight into their…”thoughts”.

Good listen.

Solid story and worth the listen. Plenty of good characters and one horror of an alien monster.

Ok but really muddled

If you don't mind a rehash of what has come before then this is pretty good. Unfortunately in an attempt to update the xenomorph we get an almost invincible one which just ends up being silly and frustrating. There is a terrible A.I. fight which is straight out of Terminator 2, sounds bizarre but think about it.
I thought Narrator was very good.
