Resumen del Editor

The highly anticipated sequel to the beloved cult classic about family, friendship and first love, from award-winning author Benjamin Alire Sáenz. This lyrical novel will enrapture fans of John Green, Love, Simon and Call Me by Your Name.

A love story like no other.

In Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, two boys fell in love. Now they must discover what it means to stay in love and build a relationship in a world that seems to challenge their very existence.

Ari has spent all of high school hiding who he really is, staying silent and invisible. He expected his senior year to be the same. But something in him cracked open when he fell in love with Dante, and he can’t go back. Suddenly, he finds himself reaching out to new friends, standing up to bullies and making his voice heard. And, always, there is Dante - dreamy, witty Dante - who can get on Ari’s nerves and fill him with desire all at once.

The boys are determined to forge a path for themselves in a world that doesn’t understand them. But when Ari is faced with a shocking loss, he’ll have to fight like never before to create a life that is truthfully, joyfully his own.

Lovely story

I love this story, it’s realistic enough and fantastic at the same time. I recommend it 100%

Beautiful story, well told.

This sequel is less universal, but no less beautiful than the first "Aristotle and Dante". It's not cloying nor saccharine, but it is lovely and Ari's trajectory through this book is a delight.

Lin-Manual Miranda reads the book exceptionally well, as you'd expect.

noooo

the first boos was obviously better. I did not want them to break up, even though that was a realistic take. I did not expected it because everything fwlt too good too be truth sort of book. some times it felt too cheesy. this book will a one time read, unlike the first one. maybe a third might come, but I doubt it.

A Disappointing Sequel

The narrative was going very well, until (SPOILER) a catastrophic personal event occurred in Ari's life and the response of the character was totally unrealistic - as if the event was not totally distressing i.e. the character responded with a heap of philosophical BS which I didn't think was right for the character (or indeed almost any 17-year old) in any way. The character arc restored somewhat & the event was viewed in more realistic terms, but by then the level of aphorisms, axioms and over-the-top BS just got to me. A huge let down after the joy I felt in listening to the first book in the series

Loved the first book disliked this ones

The author forgot how to tell a story instead he just addresses cliche social issues in a mundane way for the whole book. The book just got too political. It is too preachy all the time and too cringy at others. Loved the first book and this is a disappointment.
