One of the best .

One of the best of Maxwell's and that from one who might have read all of Maxwell's works. A must for anyone who seriously wants to lead well.

Loved it!

I really appreciate the simplicity of John Maxwell’s teachings in this book. I love his lists and acronyms. He makes things easy to remember and to follow. Learning about eadership does not have to be complicated.

Loved the Content, Missed Hearing John

As with all of John’s works, the content was engaging and relevant. I particularly missed The feel of John’s passion delivered through his voice and it’s inflections.

Lots of good info

opened my eyes to lots of things that I need to work on. It was a little struggle to finish as it didn't suck me in as some of the books lately have. It could have been because this book drew out some things that I realized I was doing wrong.

This book is part guidance, sermon, and wisdom

This book is part guidance, sermon, and wisdom. When people have a bad experience with a product/service, rarely will they inform the company. Yet they will tell a dozen friends about the bad experience and persuade many of them not to purchase from that company. This is why it is so important that leaders learn to be a 'people person' and encourage employees to do the same. Becoming a people person starts with treating people like how you want to be treated:
* Encourage people (you did a good job)
* Appreciate people (thank you)
* Forgive people (all is forgiven)
* Listen to people (what is your opinion)
* Understand people (I want to know you better)

The author is also a pastor and he has included bible references and parables, which may not appeal to everyone. Also, much of the content is common sense about how to treat people. It is a good book as a reminder, but not so much for learning anything new about interpersonal skills.
