Fight, survive, adapt, and rely only on yourself. That is Derek’s creed and what's got him through the System Integration on Earth. Everything changed when the System came. Cute bunnies and beautiful butterflies became savage killing machines. Then the Invaders arrived with a single goal: to obtain ownership of this new habitable planet. War has raged ever since. But survive he does, only to leave the dungeon and discover that while he experienced several hellish months in the dungeon, only half a day passed on Earth. I never believed in the whole “light at the end of the tunnel” folly where people, after having a near-death experience, would startle awake in a cold sweat exclaiming, “I saw the light!” But there I was, in this so-called “tunnel” facing a glaring light, when the last thing I remembered was sleeping in my room - the royal bed-chamber, as others called it. Had I died? If so, how? King Grey once benefited from unrivaled strength, wealth, and prestige in a world governed by martial ability but now finds himself reborn in a society dominated by magic.

An inn is a place to rest, a place to talk and share stories, a place to find adventure, or a starting ground for quests and legends. It is in this world, at least. To Erin Solstice, an inn seems like a medieval relic from the past. But here she is, running from Goblins and trying to survive in a world full of monsters and magic. She’d be more excited about all of this if everything wasn’t trying to kill her. But an inn is what she’s found, and so that’s what she becomes; an innkeeper, who serves drinks to heroes and monsters. Mostly monsters. But it’s a living, right?

No one has ever managed to level it, condemning them to the lowest paying jobs and life in a barren village.

Publisher's summary
Life was simpler when someone was around to tell him what to do. With a band of Adventurers looking to him for direction, whether he likes it or not, Trent Embra needed to figure out how to lead them.
But how was he supposed to lead when there were so many things Trent hadn’t figured out for himself?
An unidentifiable seed in his Storage, and whispers in his head, Trent points his team west towards the wilds. It was as good a direction as any. Maybe in uncivilized lands, Trent would learn what it meant to be an Adventurer and sort through what mattered most.

Story
Everyone dreams of marrying a prince - except for me. I am nothing more than a pawn in my adoptive mother's diabolical plot against the seven kingdoms. I was the chosen tool, her sharpened blade that would cut the deepest into the heart of the kingdom of Baist. But like all deadly weapons, my wedding is two-edged sword that could cost me my soul. For I am Rosalie, one of the adopted daughters of Lady Eville, and it is my duty to enter into a loveless and hate-filled marriage with the narcissistic Crown Prince of Baist.

Story
In the endless forests of the Wild, humanity scratches a living by the side of the great Godroads, paths of crystal that provide safe passage and hold back the infernal tide. Creatures lurk within the trees, watching, and plucking those who stray too far from safety. In crystal castles held aloft on magical currents, seven timeless royal families reign, protecting humanity from the spread of the Wild and its demons. Born and reborn into flawless bodies, the Deathless are as immortal as the precious stones from which they take their names. For generations a fragile balance has held.

We go west...just not this book.
The very beginning of this book feels out of placed and this book tries to smooth out the wrinkles that it created. Progress is made with other characters outside of Trent, but Trent somehow gains a weird and basically annoying ability that doesn't reveal anything to Trent just to drain loot. We left off book 3 that cliff hangs us that the next adventure will be West, but this book stalls that progress for a new character.
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

yes it's slow
This book feels and probably is a setup to build on characters for the future there's a lot of complaining that it is pointless and goes nowhere but always sprinting forward at a breakneck pace is a great way to destroy a story.
You can skip this book if you don't want a slower book mostly consisting of character interactions.
You don't have to like it and I can see why people are disappointed compared to earlier books but an author choosing to flush out the characters we will be moving forward with shouldn't be a call for scorn, motivations should be set up and explored instead of glossed over and forced.

Love the series
I love the series, I am content with this book building the story up for future books. This book was not as good as the last but it was still good.

worst one yet
Not a lot happening other than what Trent creates with the seed, just info dump and when finally they enter a trial we tet to see how annoying and unreliable his teammates are with how they just want to rush and skip all the possible rewards it was really frustrating hope book 5 is better than this

Just as good as others
Not sure what others are complaining about? This was a great next book in this series. Love the world and character building. Looking forward to the next one.

Story hardly progressed
I was surprised that the party mainly stayed in the same place for the whole book. If there are only 3 more books left then I wonder how far everything will go. Hopefully book 5 comes out soon, I still enjoy this series but just hope there will be an ending.

Stupid people
I'm convinced that lost of the people who leave reviews complaining about different perspectives have never read a book themselves. This is the fourth book in the series and you now have issue with a new character being used to build the world? Some of these reviews read as if they couldn't get past the first three chapters because they didn't hear a familiar name. Goofy and stupid. Spare us all your idiocy.
