My name is Nate Temple, and I’m secretly a wizard. I ride a foul-mouthed unicorn, I drink with Achilles, and I’m pals with the Four Horsemen. I’ve even cow-tipped the Minotaur. I understand the theory of following the rules...I’m just not very good at the application. Because rules were meant to be broken, and St. Louis has a bit of a supernatural infestation these days. Someone should probably be keeping an eye on these things -and probably an eye on me, too. Before I blow up another building...or three.

This series continues to excite and make me laugh
Steve McHugh's character development and interaction are top of the game. The only problem I have is I want the next book in the series right now!

sooo worth the wait!!!
i love Everything about this series! throughout, ive laughed, cried and been genuinely moved. props to mr mchugh and his narrators=))
💗💗💗
... another thought ... you know how when a series that's gripped you, that you've Loved the Entire way thru, ends, and you're left with that feeling of emptiness, of feeling bereft, and wondering what to read/listen to next bc nothing could Possibly compare??
well, i know i only just finished this one last night, And that there's a new book waiting for me in (very) far off December, but That is how i feel today. i can't stop thinking about Nate and co. and how they will stick with me long after today, and how December feels like an unattainable future ...
on the bright side! when December finally Does roll up and im hating life bc it's, yes, December, i will then restart this series from book one and listen all the way thru Again, until i reach the long-awaited Horsemen's War, and go thru these feelings all over again. it will be well worth it!

Tone of story is quite different from the start
There were way too many narrators in this book, and the inflection took a lot away from the story. I’ve been kind of disappointed that character development has been put on hold and there have only been awkward flips between pointless fillers and action/story. It’s a bit jarring. I hope the next book gets better, I’ve absolutely loved every book in the series up until this and the last book.

Progressively becoming bleh
Not as great as the first few books. Enjoyed hearing about the characters again however just lacked the twists turns and quality writing of the first 4-5.

Nate, Odin and More...total excitement!
Death Unleashed
The Rebellion Chronicles, Book 2
By: Steve McHugh
Narrated by: Simon Mattacks, Elizabeth Knowelden, Shaun Grindell, Steve West
Hera is trying to kill as many of the "children" as she can. A great deal of action with Mordred and Nate. Odin also had a big part. Interesting plot, quick and intense pace! Love the characters! Some losses occur😑, some twists, and good things develop. Loved it.
Love all the narrators! Preordered the next book!

Nail bitter!
From character development to plot twist this book kept had me biting my nails at every turn. I truly enjoy seeing the evolution of these characters from both series merge and work together. Excellent writing. I can not wait for the next book. The very much anticipated battle!

Story progression. Multiple authors can be jarring
Good story, love the authors work. I will have to listen again because the multi-author approach threw me. I'm used to certain voices for the characters, especially Mordred and didn't get that here. Defiantly messed with me. First time listening to the books before reading them first so that may have caused issues as well. Definite buy, just be prepared for the different voices. Narrators were great, it was just different.

Elizabeth is a horrible narrator. she is more of a disembodied ghoul than a storyteller. Shaun did well, much better than Simon.
