Como cierre de la trilogía, Siglo de Caudillos, Biografía del Poder y Presidencia Imperial, este último ofrece al escucha la conclusión actualizada (aún y cuando ya han pasado más de 25 años), del porqué México es como es, después del sello distintivo que cada uno de los presidentes que llegaron al poder le imprimieron. Digno de resaltar las conclusiones a las que Krauze llega con respecto al surgimiento, clímax y eventual caída del sistema presidencial a cargo de la familia revolucionaria.
