In The Worst of You, just-wed architects Timo and Nia flee a murder scene, setting in motion a chain reaction of lies and betrayals that threaten to unravel everything they have built together. Twisted and propulsive, this thriller is told from the alternating perspectives of the couple and those close to them on Williwaw Island, each with their own motive to use the outcome of the murder case to their advantage. Reading (only) a book by the author is not enough!
Another book there I read, so far the third episode of the series "Learn German Through Storytelling" called Des Spieles Tod, depending on your level of German what I advise is to be between the intermediate and advanced level in fact.
From what I noticed, the author is very versatile in writing stories in a police thriller format. They are short stories but with a very rich and current German.
The narration is still done in a very simple way by the author himself. There is no voice cast representing the theme. but that doesn't take credit away from Klein's work.
