Publisher's summary
It’s a man’s world, and Indiana Ana Aaron, a talented coder and IT specialist, doesn’t fit in. She says what she thinks, which frequently gets her in trouble and most recently has resulted in her transfer to a remote work team. She sees working from home as a chance at redemption (by keeping her head down and her camera off). But, almost immediately, her new boss makes a huge mistake in a report, and Ana feels compelled to point it out.
She expects extreme repercussions, like before, but instead, the boss praises Mr. Aaron for his assertiveness and gives the team the afternoon off, to the delight of her fellow “bros.” It’s a simple error. Indiana is one of those names. But would it have gone that way if he had known what she looked like? She’s considering how to set everyone straight without making things worse when her work besties complicate things further. In a misguided attempt to “help” during a reference check, the legend of “Indiana” begins to take on a life of its own.
Ana is suddenly in over her head. She doesn't know how to compete with her alter-ego “Indiana,” who is a former Navy SEAL, an emergency back-up goalie for the Colorado Avalanche, and an abstract artist. Fortunately, Ana is picking up more allies, including Shane, a handsome tech guy on her team who’s smart enough to put the puzzle together. But how can she be true to herself and follow her heart in the midst of this tangle?

Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

This Psych 312 assignment just might send me off the deep end. Determining whether love at first sight really exists with Robbie Moravian as my project partner of all people? He’s the sappiest man alive, so upbeat I could scream, and clearly rooting for happy endings at every turn. How does he not learn from experience considering our own meet-cute last semester almost got us expelled? But we both need to pass this course to graduate. So we’re interviewing five random couples about their meet-cutes and relationships and spending all this time together. Which is certainly...educational.

I have a plan, one chance to get out of this nightmare once and for all. One month is all I need, one month to stay off King's radar and get the last few items needed for the spell I’ve been working on. Shouldn’t be that hard, right? But turns out King has his own plan, one that involves trading me off to the five shifters of Manhattan. With King's ultimatum, I have no choice but to go through with it. But I’m still getting out of here, no matter what. Or so I thought. Turns out the five shifters are my mates…and also the boys I left behind six years ago.

Story
Emma Wheeler desperately longs to be a screenwriter. She’s spent her life studying, obsessing over, and writing romantic comedies—good ones! That win contests! But she’s also been the sole caretaker for her kind-hearted dad, who needs full-time care. Now, when she gets a chance to re-write a script for famous screenwriter Charlie Yates—The Charlie Yates! Her personal writing god!—it’s a break too big to pass up.

Not Bad For A Girl
I so enjoyed this book❤️. It was a fun, quick read that really reflects the struggles women have in a male dominated work world. It has great humor. I found myself laughing out loud. Even gives hope to us "older than dirt readers" too. ❤️❤️🤎

Lead in was too long
I did not relate well to this storyline. The lie of Indiana being a boy was not believable and led on too long.
