Publisher's summary

For Mark Caldwell, an unsatisfying life was about to take a turn both terrifying and exhilarating as his fate took an unimaginable turn.

When Mark took his aisle seat aboard United flight 4382, he was ignorant of three facts. The fellow passenger in the window seat was named Joseph Colsco. Neither of them would ever set foot on Earth again. They both would be cast naked on an alien planet.

Adapt or die. Those were the choices. Determined to grasp the chance at a second life, Mark plunges into an adventure he couldn’t anticipate and leading to a future he can’t predict.

Worth the Wait!!

Olan Thorensen does it again. Excellent story line and characters. Highly recommend this one but consume the series in order.

Another outstanding entry in the series

This series is one of my favorites of all time and this book does not fail to live up to its predecessors. I don't have the words necessary to explain just how good this series is. It is an amazing blend of good dialogue, realistic characters, exciting events, and so much more. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book. Keep up the good work Mr. Thorensen.

A new protagonist

This book is probably the weakest so far in the Anyar series. While it introduces a new character, another refugee from Earth, the story took way to long to link back up with the original five books.

Put it this way; there will be a next book in the series because this book ended just when it started to get interesting. And when that book comes out, everything in this book could be covered in one quick review of maybe two pages. I could just as easily skipped 10+ hours of listening and still followed the story line.

So this book is a placeholder and sort of a slog. You could probably skip it and just start with the next book in the series (when it comes out) and be able to continue without much difficulty.

Can't wait for the next one!

I thoroughly enjoyed this series! It was the perfect combination for me with down to earth characters, otherworldly adventure, and a healthy dose of alien interaction.
More, please!

Good Start by Kind of Annoying

It’s a decent book and really a clever way to connect it back to the whole series. The problem is much of the books is so similar to book one as to be annoying. Then the rest of the book is the main character connecting back to the main story. So you spend the entire time waiting for the main story to start again only for it to never happen. If this had been book one of the series it would have been a better structure. As it is I liked the book but too much was already familiar to the series and very annoying to listen to all over again.

A great addition to an intriguing story

I really enjoyed this book. The new character will have huge potential to work with Koskow but reading about him putting his new life together and where he went was very well done. I am impressed with the writing that not only held my interest but had me wanting to find reasons to listen while going through life and working during the Covid 19 crisis. I'm a big fan of RC Bray but Jonathan Davis did an excellent job. This is a high recommend.
