Publisher's summary

Alex Carlisle owes a debt beyond cash. Once upon a time - all of three months ago - Alex found himself in a foreign land hunted by mercenaries and demon lords. Only the intervention of a sultry, playful jinn got him home again. Zafirah didn't help him for free. Now she's come to collect.

With her sights set on a dangerous family of ancient sorcerers, Zafirah needs every edge. She needs not only Alex, but the friends and lovers he brings with him. Her quest threatens to extract a price from angel, demon, and mortal alike...and most especially the witch who brought them all together.

Mr. Kay you did not disappoint!

This was a treat to read. I love the direction you’ve taken with the characters and the storyline and the politics!! Lorelei’s entrance to the party was awesome. There are new characters to discover and Tess Irondale did an incredible job giving voice to them. I look forward to more.

If you made ot to this last book, then you know this was great ride. I hope in the future they pick up the story again for another couple of books.

Fabulous installment

This is a great addition to the Good Intentions series! Both the performance and story are excellent. While I’m eager to retrace the story to find connections I missed and just enjoy events so far, I’m already puzzling over new questions, possibilities as I settle in to wait for the next installment. I know it’ll be awhile, but it will be worth it. The wait for this volume definitely was!

Finally another book in this Series!

I’ve been waiting for another book to come along in this series! And over all it was an excellent addition I love the characters in these books and there are so many directions it could go from here! I can’t wait to see where it will go! Tess Irondale does Her usual Marvelous job! She is truly one of my favorite Narrators!

Exactly as expected

I hate that I have to address this first in the review, but considering the other reviews I felt it was needed. There is no political agenda, no hidden scheme to bring you onto the author's way of thinking and for god's sake the book is 18 hours long and has been in the works for literal months...

That being said, I loved this book. The whole point of the book in my opinion is to show that while yes...having you past memories can be a really cool thing (Alex practically became a superhero because of it) it also shows the downside of having so many different world views crammed into one poor person's brain.

If you enjoyed the previous books and liked where the story was going then you'll be please with this one, give it a try, it's a natural progression that was clearly apparent since the first book.

Enjoy the story for what it is or don't, I'm not your keeper.

an excellent entry in the series

this one definitely felt like a more contained story in The series, it wasn't until the very end that a bunch of threads we're dropped for future books.

Tess Irondale is phenomenal as always, never change.

yes, The first chapter is a little bit political based on the current political climate in the States, however, if you can't get behind the core message, maybe you shouldn't read this series? I felt it detected nothing from the book, and helped be a setup for one of the previous threads I mentioned.

8/10 fun read

It's just political enough

I don't get what the other reviews are on about.
The series has always been political and this one is no different.

On top of the fantastic overall story and this is another great installment.

Trying the Social Just Us thing

Overalll not quite as good as the previous stories, and the author keeps getting distracted with social justice nonsense. All of a sudden the various players have to represent the full non-binary spectrum? Why?

Still keeps interesting.

Great Saga! Cant wait for book 5!

I have all 4 books so far, and I recommend it. I could not put this book down and ended up binging it to completion. I cant wait for book 5!

Warning, this book is for adults and not meant for kids. It contains sex, action, adventure, romance, and lots and lots of crazy!
