Il padre parte immediatamente per riportare la figlia a casa, nel piccolo paese di montagna dove il tempo trascorre lento come il Piave giù a valle e dove la comunità affronta la vita con la stessa naturalezza degli alberi del bosco, anche se con radici assai più fragili: sono sempre di più, infatti, i giovani costretti a emigrare per trovare lavoro, così come aveva fatto anche Berta, spinta da una sofferenza profonda e tutta personale. La protagonista del libro, così, ripercorre la dolorosa vicenda della sorella ma anche tutto il prezioso mosaico di vite del paese in cui ha trascorso l’infanzia, tra gli abbracci della migliore amica Clarissa, le chiacchiere delle comari, i discorsi impegnati del padre, i balli in piazza d’estate e gli addii, purtroppo sempre più numerosi, di coloro che provano a cercare fortuna altrove. Un’autrice nuova che affronta temi importanti con una scrittura estremamente delicata e un’amorevole cura dei dettagli: in Per sempre, altrove si intrecciano i desideri e le fragili speranze di chi parte e di chi resta, ma anche di chi non sarà più in grado di tornare indietro. Un romanzo suggestivo che parla di distacchi e lontananza, ma anche e soprattutto una potente riflessione sull’amore, il coraggio e la solidarietà tra donne che, spesso dimenticate, sono da sempre il cuore pulsante di ogni comunità.
