Publisher's summary

After defeating a Fae fanatic set on closing the portal between Earth and the magic realm, things are looking up for Sophie Feegle. She can finally relax, drink whiskey at her favorite ogre pub, and get back to the autopsy assistant job she loves. Maybe she’ll even go on a romantic date with a certain sexy fox-shifter.

Yeah, right. Things never seem to work out quite the way Sophie wants.

When Sophie recognizes the body on her autopsy table from a dream, her world is shaken again. As more bodies end up in the morgue, Sophie realizes a serial killer is hunting San Francisco’s Mythicals. But why? And why does Sophie see the victims in her dreams?

Hot on the trail of the killer, Sophie and her crew encounter Mythicals with strange powers. But as they wade through these dangerous waters, the question becomes: Are Sophie and her friends the hunters, or are they the ones being hunted?

Welcome back to Sophie’s San Francisco, where being in a serial killer’s sights may be new but being odd is still the norm.

Love me my Sophie and her odd ones

Sophie and Mac are a great team. Their relationship progresses in this one and it’s adorable.

I love all of the secondary characters and the world building is done really well by Gwen.

The narrator does a fantastic job. I found this book as good as the first with a couple of twists that I really enjoyed.

4.5 star listen
Gifted audio, this is my honest review

Enjoyable Listen

Is an enjoyable listen, could have done without the romance overtones, but the characters were well-developed, and the author takes a unique and pleasant look at a well-trodden storyline and makes it fresh and interesting. easy listen on a rainy day, looking forward to the next installment.

The Hunter or The Hunted?

Book 2 of the "Sophie Feegle" series was as entertaining as the first one. Sophie continued to experience dreams which made her conclude that a serial killer was hunting San Francisco's Mythicals. I enjoyed all the twists and turns in this second book. I liked the new shapeshifters that were introduced. There was more steam described. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Janine Granda's narration was great as she provided voices for the various characters, and her performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Great 2nd book

This series was very entertaining, with fresh storyline. It’s different than same ole supernatural stories. Definitely worth reading.

More surprises

This book picks up right where book 1 left off. Sophie realizes that the dead body on her autopsy table is a man she had a dream about the night before. A man that, in her dreams, was killed by someone who looks exactly like her. They decide to have her recount all these strange dreams and believe she is getting visions of a serial killer they name Snow White. Snow White is seemingly a vigilante who only murders other murderers. Waking from a dream vision, she attempts to chase down Snow White to prevent a murder, but only manages to catch the attention of a human-hating Alpha wolf. After being threatened to quit the morgue and having her house broken into, Sophie is put in protective custody with Irish Wolfhounds until this can be solved.
There were many twists and turns in this book! Some of the mysteries were easily solved, but you didn't see the why coming! And some were not the answers you expected! We learn a lot more about Snow White, but I am again left with so many more questions I am dying to know the answer to!
The Odd Ones are really there for Sophie in this book and now Burg is part of the group! I love how even Amira is ready to help. And the new friends she makes are wonderful as well! And Mac is such a great guy and things definitely get slightly spicy for the 2 of them!
And I can't wait to find out what the deal with Snoe White is and why Sophie gets these visions/dreams! I will be listening to the next book shortly!

The Craziness Continues

I absolutely love this series. It is action from bring to end. Sophia learns more about her powers and the identity of the serial killer. I wish I could give more than five stars to these books. They are so well written, with amazing flow and wonderful characters. Janine Granda is phenomenal with the narration.
