Steve is the man…

If you haven’t read The War of Art, read it before this book. This book is a deeper dive into one of the aspects of that book. This book is a continuation of Steve’s primary message-do your work! Quit giving in to resistance, quit lying to yourself, quit making excuses, quit keeping yourself busy with miscellaneous work and do the work that matters most. Show up every day, same time, same place and do the most important work, the real work.

The aspect explored in this book is where do you need to be to do your most important work. Steve comes at it from many different angles such as showing up to work, having the right workspace, living in the best place to do your work and so on.

If you loved The War of Art you’ll appreciate this book too. It’s a good mix of reinforcing the main message of The War of Art and going a little deeper on where you need to be to do your most important work.

Loved it

He does make a lot of comparisons to artists and authors but that is what he knows. He is using it to show the point of no matter what you want to become in life you must put your ass where your heart is.
I found it to be very motivating and extremely worth my time.

Loved it.

Near the end, he tells you where the ego is located according to Jung. That visual aid really puts things into perspective.

Pressfield the Guru

Insightful, inspiring, and action-provoking!! It’s the next best thing to sitting in a room with Steven Pressfield and absorbing his wisdom. I will be listening to this book again and again.

Another very worthy addition to my Pressfield collection

This is a great elaboration on the concept of “sitting down and actually doing your work” mentioned in The War of Art. I really prefer these books narrated by Pressfield and think he does an amazing job of adding emphasis where it matters most. Although this concept is mentioned in The War of Art this book is a great way of revisiting the action steps and like his other books Turning Pro & Nobody Wants to Read Your Shit it digs deeper into his advice on implementing this into your work/ life.

Inspiring

Somehow these types of books by Steven Pressfield (War of Art, Turning Pro, etc etc) manage to be the same idea but totally different in their own way. This one was no exception. These really help me on my artist journey, thank you

Encore Steven Pressfield

Once again I listened to this audible book by Stephen press field while working in my art studio. Once again, I was filled with inspiration, motivation and the fire I need to promote and market my work. I recommend this book, not just to artists or the like, but to anyone who has a dream, at any age and at any point in their lives. This is the perfect material to ignite or refuel that dream on this beautiful journey. As always, it is an added plus to listen to Steven read and share his experience, knowledge and wisdom.

Great follow up to The War of Art

I nice short refresher to the war of art. Reinforces the need to show up and commit.
