Publisher's summary

The inspiration for the MAX original series DUNE: PROPHECY, coming Fall 2024!

It is 83 years after the last thinking machines were destroyed in the Battle of Corrin, after Faykan Butler took the name of Corrino and established himself as the first Emperor of a new Imperium.

The war hero Vorian Atreides has turned his back on politics and Salusa Secundus. The descendants of the disgraced Abulurd Harkonnen have sworn vengeance against Vor, blaming him for the downfall of their noble family.

Raquella Berto-Anirul has formed the Bene Gesserit School and, through a terrible ordeal, has become the first Reverend Mother.

The descendants of Aurelius Venport and Norma Cenva use mutated, spice-saturated Navigators who fly precursors of Heighliners.

And Gilbertus Albans, ward of the hated thinking machine Erasmus, is teaching humans to become Mentats…while hiding an unbelievable secret.

Led by the fanatic Manford Torondo, the Butlerian movement, fiercely opposed to all forms of "dangerous technology," sweeps across the known universe in mobs, millions strong, destroying everything in its path.

excellent continuation of the Dune Saga

Loved this prequel to Dune. The writing is very well done and gets more and more interesting. I for one appreciate the excellent story content without the need to throw in significant amounts of sex and language. This novel stands up easily by itself

Not Frank but I enjoyed it

The storylines were pretty straight forward with enough surprises to make it interesting. This volume helped explain how many of the different ruling forces came to be to create the Dune society. The Dune universe is so interesting and can be applied to every period of mans development Herbert was such a philosopher ,theologian and anthropologist I’m glad his son has made this attempt to further explain the Dune Universe I’ve enjoyed every thing they have written about Dune.

The chapters were not in sync with the actual chap

the chapters were not in sinc w/ the actual chapters. although I found the narrator's voice lovely, his attempt at a Scottish/ Irish whatever was strange. I love this story. well done.

Love them all.

Would you consider the audio edition of Sisterhood of Dune to be better than the print version?

Yes, Scott Brick does a superior job.

Would you recommend Sisterhood of Dune to your friends? Why or why not?

yes, all the Dune Saga is a must read.

What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?

the entire Dune saga.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

the battle quick battle between the sorceresses and the imperial guards.

Any additional comments?

My problem with this book it had skimmed little bits of everyone's story. It felt like they had told all they needed to in the past books and wanted to try to give history that led up to the original novel. Brian and Kevin did a fantastic job on all of the others, however this one book didn't seem like it was going any where. I have high hopes for the next two books.
