Publisher's summary
The Galactic Empire is missing its most precious resource: a sense of humor.
Dax Bidet is just another unemployed, thirty-something slacker still living with his parents. Along with his best friend Buck, he spends his days making pranks and uploading them to social media.
But things are about to take a drastic turn.
When Dax and Buck are mistakenly abducted by aliens, they soon find themselves in a teeming galaxy sliding towards war. The only way to keep the peace is to regale the rebellious planets with… comedy.
Dax has just been given the unenviable title of space clown. He has to figure out what the myriad of various races consider to be humorous and get a laugh out of them.
Yet there are many within the Empire who would love to see him fail. They have space fleets, armies of assassins, and planet-destroying super weapons at their disposal.
Looks like Dax has his work cut out.
For fans of Futurama, Rick and Morty, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, The Orville, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spaceballs, and Galaxy Quest.

Story
Myrna, Leonie, and Chrissy meet every Thursday to sample fine cheeses, to reminisce about their former lives as professors, and lately, to muse about murder. Decades ago, a vicious cabal of male poets contrived—quite publicly and successfully—to undermine the writing career, confidence, and health of their dear friend Fern. Now, after Fern has taken a turn for the worse, her three old friends decide that it’s finally time to strike back—in secret, of course, since Fern is far too gentle to approve of a vendetta.

Hilarious, fascinating, and a roller coaster of dizzying, historical what-ifs, Napoleon's Hemorrhoids is a potpourri for serious historians and casual history buffs. In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

Funny
Campy and funny with cute ways of getting around copyright infringement that still make the jokes work. An awful lot of potty humor and poking fun of its own poor writing, but the story still manages amuse. The inability of the artificial reader to render things like "BZT-BZT" as the onomatopoeia most likely intended does spoil some of some jokes. I would still say its worth listening to though.
