what Ray Dalio doesn't want you to know.

Dalio professes to be rags to Rich's and doesn't mention the rich that lifted him up. that is just one part of his life he doesn't mention on his road to billions. how he is Machiavellian and professes to care about the wealth gap. listen to this is you ever took Dalio at his word. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

perspective to Dalio’s Principles

Fast paced, insider view and other side to Dalio’s stories. Not surprising but interesting nonetheless.

Interesting perspective

The author definitely has some strong points that counter position the persona that Ray Dalio has publicly, but I would expect BA to be a very intense workplace with a hardworking and brutal culture - not only because of the principles (which are crazy extreme) but because of the industry of financial services. It’s important to learn the inner story of the built up of one of the most relevant hedge funds in recent history and to remind ourselves that there are always nuances to what is commonly exposed outside. Ray Dalio is definitely not a saint, but I don’t think he would be as bad as the book describes him.

The emperor has no clothes

Very well written and read audio book. Yet another instance where a good salesman’s bullshit is accepted without challenges from a lot of folks who should have known better.

Radical Transparency- Great Book, Couldn’t Put it Down

I felt that the author had an even hand with the story. The people at BW are obviously very smart. But that doesn’t make Dalio the second coming, either. It’s a story as old as time- I recommend you read this book.

Excellent book

Narration is well done. You can listen at 1.5 times speed no problem.
As a person who read Dalio’s first book, I was excited to hear this one.
I was not disappointed.
It was eye opening and well worth the time.

If The Beach Was A Hedge Fund

Just like many families that seem so functional to everybody …..once you get behind the curtain, you really appreciate your own family so much more. I could see how people would be so afraid to comment on their experience here because the fear is palpable reading this. I hope everyone that works there is able to come out of their experience, with some insight and something that could help them in their life.

A credible and instructive guide on how NOT to lead people

A credible and instructive guide on how NOT to lead people. This book had parallels to me with Big Short, ie how strong herd mentality can be on Wall Street.

Eye opening

This was a thrilling exposé on the truth behind Dalio. I wish I had read this years ago when I was duped by his charisma and novelty of his dot collector. 

Best finance book I've read in years

Tremendous! Easily the most entertaining/funny finance book I've ever read. Dalio is probably the best example of failing upward in the history of business.
