Story
My husband and I are fighting for our lives in hospital after a terrible car accident. But despite my pain, all I can think about is what our families will find behind our front door. The scarf that has been all over the news, belonging to a dead young woman with honey-coloured hair. I have to speak to the police before my husband can. I’m drifting in and out of consciousness, but when I hear my wife talking to the police, accusing me of the murder of an innocent woman, a cold fear grips me. I know I’ve got a temper.

Another Book for the Favorite's Shelf!
If you were ever a teenager with a crush on your teacher, this might give you tingles once more--- but these feelings will be more frightening than those you remember!
This book caught my attention from the start and it's characters kept my attention all the way through. It's beautifully performed by the narrators. If you enjoyed listening/reading to"The Coworker" by McFadden, then this one will fit perfectly into that "brainspace".
The twists are intensely rewarding too.
Already looking forward to whatever book Ms. McFadden gifts us with next!

The twist at the end
First I could not put this book down, because I could not find one redeemable character, and I was determined to uncover the writers piece of the puzzle I felt was missing. But then I could not put the book down because every character, besides the obvious protagonist, was redeemable. and to put the nail in the coffin, so to say,the twist at the end gave me great satisfaction and a complete surprise. A must read if you love a good psychological thriller.
