Publisher's summary
He’s not a hero, just a man doing his job.
Dive headfirst into the captivating universe of "The Planetary Fixer Trilogy Book 1: The Wanderer," where the seasoned Planetary Fixer, Zaelen Skyreaver, stands at the threshold of retirement, ready to grapple with his final mission. On the surface, it seems like a straightforward task—thwart an impending horde of menacing monsters, and voilà, mission accomplished. But alas, the universe revels in twisting fate. The planet he's been assigned to, unlike any other, teems with Qi-cultivating martial artists who aren’t keen on a helping hand from an outsider.
Prepare yourself for an enthralling expedition as the story unfolds, though, let's be real, when do things ever go according to plan? Zaelen's mission to restore equilibrium transforms into a roller coaster ride of adventure and unexpected twists and turns. In a cosmos shrouded in enigma, mysteries await at every turn, and Zaelen's journey of self-discovery and unforeseen alliances is merely a prelude to the boundless realms of intrigue.
A portal/progression fantasy with a twist that blends Sci-fi with western cultivation fantasy.
Warning: Violence, language, and sexual themes.

In a refugee shanty town on the outskirts of a vast and opulent imperial capital city, an insidious sect of demon worshippers, the Cult of Ebon, began to prey upon the Gathered, a diaspora of peoples displaced from their nations in the aftermath of a mad tyrant's ceaseless wars of conquest long ago. Unwilling to overlook these heinous crimes against a vulnerable, underserved populace, Constable Lukarde Alfans began an investigation that brought him far too close to the truth, leading him to become the cult's next target.

Story
Ruby has a problem… …and it’s more than her pet dragon and hunky boyfriend can help her solve. Six months ago, she discovered she was a witch. Great huh? But with magic comes trouble, especially living in a (mostly) unmagical world. Ruby’s magic makes her a homing beacon for all magical creatures. They come to her—sometimes in the middle of her college lectures—asking for help to be returned home. Most of these creatures mean no harm, but when a witch with more magical skill than Ruby hunts her down, trying to rid magic from this realm, Ruby turns to her friends for help. ...

Enjoyable but needs more editing
The Auto Narrator was not bad. good tone of voice, just missed some inflections and tripped up on a few words hear and there. The writing was enjoyable but not exceptional. There are a lot of inconsistencies like when the character uses a "slow acting poison" on a knife to instantly kill assassins in a fight with a shallow cut. The author clearer stated it was a slow acting poison, and earlier in the book it was said the poison was renowned for having no side effects for 12 hours and killing the victim excrutiatingly after 12 hours of no symptoms.
Author and story have potential and it was a fun listen. Needs work.
