  • "Baby Reindeer" - Vick Krishna & Caitlin O'Ryan
    May 18 2024

Actress and poet Caitlin O'Ryan (Outlander), and comedian and actor, Vick Krishna (Fallout) joined host Reshma Gopaldas to talk about Netflix's recent hit, Baby Reindeer, starring and created by Richard Gadd. Gadd plays "Donny" and Jessica Gunning co-stars as "Martha." Baby Reindeer is based on Gadd's true life story, of the time in his life when he was a comedian/bartender, and Gunning plays the woman who develops an unhealthy obsession with him and stalks him. She sends him over 41k emails, 360 hours worth of voicemails, letters, facebook messages, and more. The show follows the complicated dynamic between Donny and Martha, and has been hailed as a "beautifully disturbing" series. Real-life Martha, Fiona Harvey, has come forward and appeared on Piers Morgan to dispute the story. Baby Reindeer also stars Nava Mau, Nina Sosanya, Shalome Brune-Franklin, Tom Goodman-Hill, Alexandria Riley, Mark Lewis Jones, and Amanda Root.

Vick and Caitlin break down their thoughts about Baby Reindeer and Richard Gadd's work, and they talk about the earliest shows they loved to binge, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, to Friends, Happy Valley, Simpsons, House, The Office, and more.

Listen for their entire review of Baby Reindeer and thoughts on Donny, Martha, and real-life's Martha's stories and statements.

Vick Krishna is a comedian based in the NYC, Washington, DC, area and can be found on IG at @hotvickkrishna. Caitlin O'Ryan can be found on IG at @caitlinoryan.

    Dec 31 2023

Jake Johnson (Minx, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse) joins for an episode of Son of a Binge to chat all about New Girl, his new podcast, "We're Here to Help," with Garrett Reynolds, his friendship with co-stars Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris, and Hannah Simone, and what it was like working with Tom Cruise. Dec 22 2023

Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter, Sex Education) joins Son of a Binge to chat all about his stint playing Archie Leach, known to most as Cary Grant, on Britbox's Archie. Based on the book, "Archie", by Grant's ex-wife Dyan Cannon, and BAFTA-winner Jeff Pope, Archie tells the story of a young boy who turned himself into one of Hollywood's biggest stars.
