Life as a peasant farmer was boring, to say the least. Was I really wrong to distract myself with the mayor’s daughter? She certainly didn’t mind. Of course, the mayor did, and now I’ve been exiled to some dark, distant forest on the other side of the continent. What do you do when your entire village betrays you? Start plotting your revenge, of course. After saving a beautiful woman’s life and nearly getting beaten to death for it, I became the proud owner of a castle core, the central power of every village. The best part? Every woman I marry gains a similar boost in power.

Wyle and his adventuring band of beautiful ladies settle in to their new home. Their town has a new name, new residents, shops, allies, and more! When a domineering Noble Ranger shows up to grade the Gloomy Forest’s dungeon, Wyle immediately starts searching for ways to keep her around. Not all is well, however. An attack on one of his wives sends Wyle into full alert. He finds himself untrusting of the new arrivals that might help Emerald Valley become a true castle town.

After thwarting an assassination attempt, Wyle was ready for life to go back to normal, but the King was not one to let a problem fester. He’s sent one of his own Appointed to Sparkling Bay to cut Wyle off from his most valuable trading partner, and force Emerald Valley to starve through winter. Meanwhile, the town is in full preparation mode. They stockpile food, craft warmer clothing, and there are even a few budding romances! Wyle will need to juggle his town’s needs, with his own and his wives’, while fending off new threats from a King’s Hand, and the families of a fallen dungeon party.
