In this lovely middle-grade novel, Michael D. Beil has invoked one of his own favorites, We Didn't Mean to Go to Sea, as well as other great summer books of years past.

It is A wonderful book for all ages it does get a little bit scary at some parts of the book but it gets so good I can’t believe that I didn’t read it before I did. I loved it!

Great book!
Wonderful growing-up story. The characters are well drawn and believable. A nice mystery as well. The author really captures the sense of a summer spent at a lake. It reminded me of my own lake summers as a kid! Kept my interest all the way through.
