What happens when Death goes on Strike???

I've read Breeds and Mountain Man so of coarse I was gonna read this one...
At first I thought it a little over the top with the beatings but it was about Hitmen doing their job. There is a part about a girl and self harm that was SO vivid one would think Blackmore has actually had these feelings it was so intense. BUT this book was also hysterically funny! Tony and Death are great together. I really enjoyed this book and will buy Blackmore's books anytime.
I thought PJ Ochlan was ok, he's not Sean Runnette (Breeds) or RC Bray (Mountain Man) BUT I thought he was good.

Much weirder than I thought.

This is a tough book to review. I tried to explain to a friend what the book was like. The best I could do was to say it’s like Steven King’s The Stand meets Pulp Fiction then gets punched in the face by Reservoir Dogs. I know that might not make any sense but take a listen and see what you can do.

This isn’t for the squeamish. It’s profane and violent but there are no guns.

The narrator started I but stiff but a few chapters in got rolling. Towards the end I felt he was doing a great job.

All thing considered I would recommend this book but not to everyone. If you like weird getting weirder this is for you, BUT you must hang in there for the whole ride. If you get halfway and quit.... well your loss.

it's a perfectly fine book.

Though there's an unhealthy focus on balls, groins and scrotums. And the story could've been embroidered with a few more characters. I found it enjoyable and will recommend it!

Very Good

Strong and interesting characters. Blackmore has a way with words. Nobody is better at describing fights or emotion. Hes the best at supernatural fiction!

loved the story

overall, Keith is one of my favorite writers. this story and characters are brilliant. I know many complained about the narrator, but honestly he grew on my by chapter 3. I liked his accent for Stigman.

Great book

I absolutely loved this book. I spend a lot of time in my car and this book was an absolutely great listen.

Overall great story

Thought this was an overall entertaining and imaginative story.it was definitely violent and darkly humorous. I found myself wanting to listen to the book often. The narrator is no RC Bray, BUT, he was overall pretty good. He does VERY good character voices, but his narration is a bit monotone.

Better that I thought

I absolutely adore the Mountain Man Series and am waiting for the next book. This book has the same features that I enjoy from previous Keith C. Blackmore books. Despicable, loveable characters, crass humor, violence, fast action and tears.

To address the reader, P.J. Ochlan. It's true that at the beginning of the book I was disappointed by the monotone. However, somewhere in the book I realized that he was great. Characters began having their own voices and personality.

Don't let any misgivings stop you from listening to this book. It is worth it!

I loved this book, Keith always knocks it out of the park. A lot of people bash this narrator. Hes kinda like Sean Runnette, he just takes a little time to grow on you. Dont miss out on an amazing book.
