This newer edition of the King James Bible published in 1769 is usually preferred by most that read it over the older 1611 version. This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... Rue to the rescue
The first 2 stories and narrators were quite flat. However, the third story and Rue McClanahan’s narration was brilliant! Rue brings the character of Virginia to life. I would give the first 2 stories 3 stars and the third story 5 stars.

Pleasantly surprised
the only reason I listened to this book was because I saw where Rue McClanahan was one of the readers. I found my self absorbed into all three short stories. I felt the emotion of each character as their story unfolded. Highly recommend this read or listen.

Very Clever short plays
Wait for the second and third monologues. They are expertly written, funny yet so eloquently touching and sad simultaneously.
