James Bond is shattered by the murder of his wife at the hands of Ernst Stavro Blofeld, and only the prospect of a particularly challenging mission can draw him out of his deep depression.
Determined to restore 007 to his former effectiveness, M sends Bond to Japan, where a criminal mastermind is using a poisonous garden inside a rocky island fortress to lure people to their deaths. Bond will have to infiltrate and destroy this mysterious "Castle of Death" in exchange for top secret Japanese intelligence.

This performance was a step back for James Bond books
I'm a huge fan of James Bond books and have read almost all of them. I was very excited to hear they were remaking some of them and was hoping for a theatrical reading. since sometimes in the past the female voices were very poorly done but the rest of the voices were rather good.
This time it was just the opposite you had a woman doing All the voices while she was quite talented it didn't ring true for the main actor being a male. why can't they employ multiple voice talents to read for each part of the book! That's what we're paying for.
In regards to the book itself this was one of the my least favorites it took a long time to get to the action. There was a lot of setup and the action was only for few chapters it seemed like versus the movie action was throughout it, if I remember correctly.
Audible should do better!!!
