Featured Article: The top 100 classics of all time
Before we whipped out our old high school syllabi and dug deep into our libraries to start selecting contenders for this list, we first had to answer the question, "How do we define a classic?" The answer isn’t as straightforward as you might guess, though there’s a lot to be said for the old adage, "You know it when you see it" (or, in this case, hear it). Of course, most critically, each of our picks had to be fabulous in audio. So dust off your aspirational listening list—we have some amazing additions you don’t want to miss.

What did you love best about FREE: Classic Love Poems?
Well, the reason I listened to it was because Richard Armitage is one of my favourite readers of audiobooks. It was a nice way to listen to these classical poems that I have not really bothered to read before. What other book might you compare FREE: Classic Love Poems to and why?
Other poem collections, naturally. What about Richard Armitage’s performance did you like?
I do love his dark and soothing voice, which is very good for the theme, but I must say that I still rank this as his least entertaining audio performance. The brilliance he shows when he makes different voices did not show here, doing only monologues.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No. It was a soothing experience.Any additional comments?
I really appreciated this audio book as a Valentine's Day gift from Audible. It was spot on!Not Armitage's best, but still enjoyable
