Great continuation of the series

The tug of not wanting to be part of the Upper East side and getting the fame she wanted, Natalie struggled with the betrayal by the Crew and Penn...has she found love in Louis or there is also a game at play? Love this series...great narration by both narrators

the story line was interesting

It was written well, just not my style of read a presume. With out giving too much away, if you are a person that doesn't like the lead lady giving a million chances I would avoid the series.

Loved it!

I can't get enough of this series. Awaiting the next installment! Revenge may be sweet but at what cost?

Bring it on...there are some ruthless yet interesting characters in this series and loving it. The author's story takes you to unexpected twists and turns you don't see coming. Looking forward to the next book absolutely. Awesomeness....⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Magnificent narration!!!

The 2nd book in this series and it was quite a different read than the first. The story continues after Natalie finds out about the bet. It is a year later and lot has changed for Natalie. She then goes on quite the roller coaster in this book, but things happened that took me by surprise as well. For me, Natalie didn’t act the same character wise as the story developed. She got to a point where she completely strayed from her true character portrayed in the first book and did things that I didn’t agree were in her true values, actions and self. It seemed like a completely different character at times. In some sense, I understood why the author took the book there but it still felt completely out of element for half the book. Once I got passed this issue, I did truly love the overall storyline.

Once again Virginia Rose & Stephen Dexter perform this book magnificently! They act out the narration so well as they use their voices to convey the conversations of the book. For example, the manner in which Stephen Dexter spoke was dripping in emotion to convey how the character was feeling that had me sucked in, even when I wanted to hate the character. Also I LOVE Virginia Rose’s male voice! It is so appealing and easy to listen to!

Natalie need to come back like the “Tasmanian Devil’ , knock Catherine and Luis down to size and leave them destroyed.

When I started the first book I didnt realize it was a series..... a series that was not completed and out but I have had all the books on my pre-order list. It has been a LONG time since I pre-ordered a book cause I just couldn’t wait for the next one. I have fallen in love with this author all over again and can’t wait to read more!!! Yes it’s a cliffhanger but my goodness it’s so worth it. Keep writing like this and I’ll continue to buy as I have for years!!! 😘

5 So Many Moving Parts Stars!!

As with the other books in this series, I read them and then have listened to them and man oh man am I so glad I did! The narrators once again have done a phenomenal job of bringing these characters life and creating the suspense I felt while reading but at an entirely higher level. I've found myself driving around aimlessly just so I could finish a chapter!!

Below is my review I wrote for the e-book of this second book in this consuming series....

The minute this book hit my kindle I literally let out an EEEPPP. I was so ready to see what happens next in this series and I can honestly say Ms. Linde didn't disappoint...however, there's three books in this series so you know I'm going to be "vague city" in this review because..no spoilers from me!

We're one year later from when Cruel Money ended and Natalie has truly made it! She's a listed bestselling author and thinks her life is smooth sailing...until she's told she needs to go back to NYC which is where her life almost came crashing down on her.

I admired her fortitude and her plan to get in, get done what needs to be done and leave...except it's not that simple because hello...this book is full of manipulation, machinations, lust, lying and everything in between. Needless to say, once she's in NYC, things happen that make her have to stay much longer than she planned and the thought crossed my mind while reading that just maybe it would be okay.

Yeah, look no further than the aforementioned exploitation, maneuvering and betrayal of key players in this story. I was totally incensed and somewhat freaked out by some of what went down! Ms. Linde pulled me right back into this world and I'm still trying to figure out what's going to happen next!!!

Needless to say July needs to be here soon cuz it's GOING DOWN in Cruel Legacy!!

I am on the fence about this one.

Let's begin with the narration! I think this is Virginia Rose's best work to date! She has outdone herself in capturing the emotion, while still delivering the characters intention. She displays great range and I think she has matured and developed her craft over the course of the time that I've been a listener. Stephen Dexter's narration is just a bit flat to me I some points. I want to love it, but it's like it's forced and his female tone doesn't make it for me.
Story wise this is a rollercoaster my all sense of the word. You think the author will have pity on us... Oh No!!! She went in with both feet in the pool and messed up with our minds! Twisty and filled with deceit, this story just grabs you and has you saying "What just happened?"

No one wanted sex scenes with Lewis and Natalie

There is something about when the author writes the heroine in a these triangles. We shall she what happens in the finale.
