However, he is determined to never become maudlin and behave as though his life is over and ruined just because part of it has become more difficult. Since he could not expect to recover any further, it was time to resume the ordinary course of his life.

Loved it!
The narrator at times can be irritating for example her Mr.Darcy voice. But for other characters like Colonel Fitzwilliam she was great. It is was a fun and entertaining story that made me laugh out loud.

Glad I was prepared
I’m glad I read the other reviews first so I was somewhat prepared for what I was listening to. Even having been warned, I cringed quite often. If not for their names, I wouldn’t recognize any of the characters as originating from P&P with maybe one of two exceptions.
However, I did enjoy SOME of the story in its own right. It was decent as a cheesy romance if your expectations of it being a great P&P variation aren’t too high.
I thought the narrator did a fine job, although I won’t be searching particularly for her like I do for Stevie Zimmerman.
Overall, it was entertaining enough to listen to while I worked, but I don’t know that I’ll listen to it again.
