Publisher's summary

The traumatized six-year-old boy hasn't said one word since the unsolved murder of his single mother. And now, the killer is after the child - and the devoted uncle raising him, Dr. Dylan Seabrook.

Working undercover in the boy's school, DEA agent Paige Ashworth is determined to find the murderer. But she can't tell Dylan her real identity, what she knows - or just how close to the case she really is. Dylan's strength and fierce love for his nephew soon have Paige longing to join their family. First, though, they must catch a killer who never wants little Alex to speak again.

Good story base

Interest story premise but the plot coild use a little more development and realism with how police and undercover operates.

Narrator was good.

Fell short of exciting

I love Lynette Eason! Her books are always so creative and intense. But unfortunately this one was pretty dull for me. Typically her plots are more intricate but this one seemed uninventive. Love her other series though!

Very good story line

I was drawn right in at the beginning of this story. It held my attention through out the book. This is my 1st time listening to a book written by Lynette Eason. I look forward to listening to more.

Great book. I enjoyed the cast of characters and mixed storylines. Recommend for a long car drive.

Beautiful Story

This is my ultimately favorite story. It was written so well I felt I was part of the story. I found myself praying the boy would be safe. Absolutely recommend this book, this author and narrator

A good, clean read

This book proved its possible to have a mystery and romance without foul language and sex. How refreshing!

For a shortr read, it grabbed me

I don't usually listen to audio books that I can finish in a day, but I'm already looking forward to the next book in this series. loved the characters & the story... and the narration. I've been a Lynette Eason fan for 3 years & this didn't disappoint.

Surprisingly Great!!!

As I started to listen to the book which was a gift. I felt it to be off to a slow start but getting distracted and having to start again gave me a fresh start.
The The DEA Agents Faith was inspiring and I recommend this to anyone who likes a good Cop story, Faith story & Love story. You will love it..
characters were well done by the writer as well as narrator.
I was pleasantly surprised and this book and author are now near and dear to my heart for portraying what I believe are real people. Speaking about God and praying throughout the book made it real & uplifting to me. As a Medically retired Marine 0300 who deployed to none faction spots, unless you are an 03 who likes it, then they were 5 stars. But praying in everyday life and praying when your life or the lives you are responsible for are in the line. Made me realize I wasn’t alone. Obviously your not praying in a gunfight but before and after you are.
