Apallingly Realistic

The detail that Susan included in this story was shocking, but unfortunately very close to reality. I loved Cruz and Mickie.

Alpha Men (where can I find one)

This story goes into great detail showing how drug-use is slow and insidious and make you forget ALL your self-worth, pride and dignity.

Well written and well performed. Not my preference

I'm not a fan of motorcycle club books. But I do love police/military books. This combination was not my personal preference, but I've read through the previous series and started this series. I wanted to read this part of the series before moving on. The law enforcement perspective of this book helped me get beyond the motorcycle club scenes to the romance story beneath it. While the story is well done and the audio is well performed, this was not my favorite of the series just because of the subject matter chosen. If you don't mind the motorcycle club stuff, you'll love this book.

Exciting love story!

This audiobook story is about an undercover FBI agent who is trying to bring down a MC Club drug trafficking ring. The heroine is a nice girl who is worried about her much younger sister who is getting involved with the MC President. They meet and it’s instant chemistry, but he can’t break his cover. She finds out what he does at the worst possible moment and she has to decide if she can forgive him. Narration was well done!

I know when I pick up a Susan Stoker book I WON'T be disappointed. I have read several of her books and now I'm listening to them during my commute and when doing chores around the house.

The story is fast and the characters are realistic. I love this authors work! I like that the ladies are neither feminists nor helpless.

Loved this story

Cruise is an FBI agent deep undercover in an MC and Mickie is just a woman trying to keep her little sister safe. Cruise felt connected to Mickie and was determined to keep her off the MC President’s radar. Figures he meets the woman he’s meant to be with when he is undercover and can’t truly be himself.

gritty but good

Cruz & Mickie: TRIGGERS: sexual assault, drug abuse, Street pharmacy, prostitution, child abandonment. This book was a lot compared to other SS books. I was kind of shocked for most of the book but totally hooked. Cruz belongs to the local MC as a prospect so be does the club's bidding until they decide if they want to patch him in. Mickie is worried about her sister, who is hanging out with the MC and getting into trouble. But get sister won't listen. After a destructive lunch meeting with her, Mickie has a chance meeting with Cruz who is immediately taken with her. She doesn't know that the MC's president wants Mickie out of the way so his plan for more money will work. What the club doesn't know is that he's FBI and now has a new goal... Mickie. Such a gritty but good story. Some cringe moments in the story but very believable. Good book!
