Publisher's summary

Blind since birth, Corrie Madison relies on her other sharpened senses in her job as a chiropractor. Never did she imagine she'd have to depend on them to identify a killer. But when a man enters her practice, murdering everyone in his path, Corrie is the only witness - putting her directly in the killer's crosshairs.

Officer Quint Axton wasn't looking for love, or even a relationship, until he meets Corrie. Beautiful and brave, resilient and intelligent, she's everything Quint wants - if he can keep her alive long enough to explore their mutual attraction. The threats on Corrie's life are escalating. Surely a blind person is helpless against a ruthless killer?

Hardly. Corrie is about to prove that disabled does not equal defenseless.

Relatable

this book is awesome. It truly shoes the feelings and options of a blind or legally blind person. Although, most of the time it doesn't bother me that I am legally blind there have been a few times that I wished I could have better vision. The knowledge of adaptive equipment was impressive.

What's not to love about a man in law enforcement? Quint is hot, hot, hot and Corrie is an awesome example of a strong woman. You'll love this book. Suspense and action abounds.

Romantic, inspiring, sexy, suspenseful.

This selection in the Badge of Honor series was a great combination of suspense, a look into succeeding at life despite handicaps, romance with an alpha male, information ( but not preachy) about blindness, satisfying sex scenes. A bit overboard on violence but all part of the plot. Will definitely read/listen to others in the series. Erin Mallon is now added to my list of best narrators.

He'd never met a stronger more beautiful woman

Corrie & Quint

She'd just been through a horrific experience. She'd worked all her life to be "normal" despite being blind. She was a chiropractor, lived alone, and had friends and family. Then it changed. But she was working to get back to normal. One more person belittled her and she lost her cool. Then he stepped in. She eventually learned he was a cop so he said. He was impressed with her method of verifying he was who he'd said.

It didn't take long for both to realize they felt more for the other. When dangerous threats kept coming, he couldn't just ignore them. So began their personal relationship.

I have read or listened to a number of the author's worlds and have always loved them. This may be my favorite. Great narration, storyline, and character. I strongly recommend this and any book in the series.

Interesting female lead

I loved this because of Corrie. She is quite an inspiration. There is a bit of surprised danger in this one. When Corrie was kidnapped…she impressed me even more. The times where Quint and Corrie were together were great. He asked a lot of the questions I would have asked her about the blindness

Erin mallon did a great job

A blind witness...perfect!

A blind chiropractor...a perfect witness? When a gunman storms into her practice and kills everyone, except blind chiropractor, Corrie Madison. Police officer Quint Axton can’t believe that the only witness is blind, but as he gets to Corrie, he is captivated by the remarkable woman. Now if he can keep her safe from the killer. Another great romantic suspense in the Texas Heroes series.

Impressive

Having a disability doesn’t make you disabled. Love the bye play between the two main characters. The narrator does a good job.
