Publisher's summary

Discover the Japanese secret to unlocking your purpose, productivity, and passion in life!

  • Are you struggling to find your "true calling," feeling adrift without a clear sense of direction?
  • Does procrastination or a lack of motivation prevent you from accomplishing your goals?
  • Has your growth been stunted by self-doubt or a fear of failure?

Indeed, failure is the unfortunate result of most endeavors. Eighty percent of New Year's Resolutions fail by February. For many people, surrender feels like the easiest option.

But what if I told you that the Japanese have found a solution to your goal-achievement problems?

In this audiobook, we'll reveal three concepts from the east:

  • Ikigai - A strategy to discover one's purpose, meaning, and "true calling" in life.
  • Hansei - The ancient art of honest self-reflection.
  • Kaizen - An incrementalist approach to goal achievement developed by Japanese engineers and scientists.

When combined together, each methodology can improve your productivity by a factor of TEN!

You will learn:

  • What it takes to discover your personal ikigai (your "true calling" in life), so that every step you take is in harmony with your deepest passions.
  • The secret principle that makes the chore of "habit-forming" easy.
  • How to REALLY focus on your work goals, enhancing your ability to tune out the many distractions of life.
  • How to achieve the coveted "flow state"—the mental plateau of peak performance where creativity thrives.
  • And much more.

It doesn't matter if you're a student, a busy mom, or an entrepreneur. All of these techniques will apply!

I am 75, this book is even now a great benefit

My first thought was I needed this book 50 years ago, then I remembered ... when there is a student, a teacher appears. very grateful that I'm finally a student of this book.

exactly what I was looking for

Loved learning about Kaizen, Ikigai, and other trains of thought. Raymond really did his research when writing this book, has some great analogies to back up the eastern thinking this book is about. very helpful for me as an entrepreneur

Must read (must listen)for self-improvement

This is the kind of book you will surely reread, or listen to again, until its lesson becomes your mantra. It shares a practical and realistic approach on goal setting using the 4 principles. Added this to my favourite list.

Excellent and concise

Even though I haven’t finished listening to this book it has already proved to be incredibly useful as a framework for thinking and taking action towards my goals. I’m very grateful to the author for putting together these concepts and presenting them in a clear and concise manner. Also the narrators voice is an added benefit as it makes the content even easier to absorb.

Great Book!

I know I need help making changes and I love the “make little changes that add up to big ones.” I had forgotten that I was listening to this and a friend asked yesterday if I had heard about Kaizen. “Yes. I think I have the book.” I opened Audible today and it was already on chapter 2. 🤦‍♀️ started over and will listen again to make sure I REALLY got it all.
