If you're having fun living your bachelor life in your Alaskan hometown and out of nowhere a woman shows up holding a baby she insists is yours, you need a plan - a birth plan.

BP Step #1 - Lift your jaw off the floor.

BP Step #2 - Figure out the baby's age - do the math.

BP Step #3 - Try to remember the woman and, with any luck, her name.

BP Step #4 - Double check that she's not confusing you with your twin brother.

BP Step #5 - Ignore your five sisters' scowls as your entire family watches the drama unfold.

There's only one thing you shouldn't do.

BP Step #6 - Don't assume she's there because she wants your daughter to call you Daddy. You'll only end up disappointed.

Time to figure out a new plan - one that changes her mind.

Rome Finds A Family

Rome is feeding his family the first meal at his new restaurant. Then a woman walks in with a baby in her arms and asks which one of him and his twin fathered her baby? Harley says his name is Denver but Denver knows that can’t be true. Then the look of panic appears on Rome’s face. Great characters with lots of antics and fun. Great performances and story. Recommend series.

Great story

I absolutely fell for Rome, no real surprise, after all he is a Bailey, Harley and Calista. In fact there is not a Bailey that I don’t love. They are such a great family and their friends are just as awesome.
I really love small town romances and found myself wishing that I could be a part of the Lake Starlight , Alaska community. However it can also make it harder to live in, as Harley finds out when she arrives in town searching for answers.
Piper Rayne write strong characters and are not afraid to show them in all their flawed glory, it makes the stories that much more realistic and I really appreciate that.
When Harley agrees to extend her stay in town for a little while, you just know that you are in for a roller coaster of a ride. I really admired Harley’s strength, determination and her insistence on keeping her independence. I also enjoyed the fact that they both took the time to see where they could go and did not rush into anything for the sake of the baby.
You know when you pick up a Piper Rayne book that there is going to be plenty of humour, that’s a given, but this book had so much that at times I wanted to cry. I was also frustrated with Rome and his behaviour as he struggled to come to terms with his life being turned upside down. I also loved how the Bailey Clan showered Calista with unconditional love and acceptance.
This is another book full of love and family which ticked all the boxes for me. I loved this book from start to finish and highly recommend you one click.

Ok I Guess

As stories go, this one kind of worked, but…. First, Tanya Eby is not my favorite narrator. She belongs reading Susan Mallory books. So there’s that. Tim Paige is ok, but nothing special. I know many people listen to audiobooks at faster speeds but I never do, yet I had to check to see if I had changed the reading speed because the narration sounded so rushed. The baby in the story who I guessed was around 9 months by the way they described her, was actually 18 months yet couldn’t say anything but “dada” and “mama” acted like a much younger baby that someone at some point was feeding, so that was weird. But then, of course, 9 months later the kid was talking like a 3 year old. Just didn’t work for me. Rome and Harley were okay but their love story was kind of lacking, although I can’t tell you of what. I did like Rome’s family and I think their stories may continue in other books. So I didn’t hate this book and I had no problem finishing it but when it was over I found I was just underwhelmed.

Hate the female narrator and female lead

I really don’t care for the breathy, old lady, whimpering voice if the female narrator. But the way that the female lead acts like the guy who doesn’t even know he has a daughter has no right to know her etc is just so horrendous.
