Hun skriver ofte om livets udfordringer og sårbare eksistenser, der formår at ændre deres liv for det bedre - ofte i fantastiske universer. Hun har desuden oversat de populære Twilight-bøger og undervist på Forfatterskolen for Børnelitteratur. I 2015 blev hun nomineret til Kulturministeriets Forfatterpris for bogen "Skyggefugl".
